Terminator: Genisys - Part 4

Funny... yeah, I think Emilia is a better actress than Caity but I agree that Caity probably could have pulled off a better Sarah Connor.

Man, this sounds awful. Especially the rumors about
Arnold building a time machine and jumping into a pool of molten metal and turning into a T-1000.

Say what you will about Lotz acting ability, she could hold Jai Courtney off a bridge with one arm without having to use CGI.

I'm not sure if this or F4n4t4st4c F4r is the worst thing happening right now.

I want to be hopeful for Terminator, but casting MeatFace McBoneyForeheadPlate as Reese really kills it stone dead right out of the gate. I've been sitting here for 30 minutes, unable to come up with a ridiculous joke recast that even compares. That's how bad it is.

And Beihn has to be available! They could have gotten him somehow, and made it work, but no! Utter failure!

The first two movies and the sarah connor chronicles continue to be excellent.

That does sound awfully awful. I could see it as a way for Arnold to eventually step down. As T-1000 he cans shapeshift to a younger actor, should there be more sequels once Arnold is done.

I also wonder how much of this movie is about Arnold himself trying to beat his younger self, psychologically. He beats his younger self in the movie, but can he beat the success of his younger self, since he is very much about competing and being the best.

For me as much as Arnold embodied a machine covered in human flesh I think a big part of that came down to James Camerons direction. The terminators were made to feel as if they were made of the same things trucks and machinery (not cgi). I mean really Arnold isnt that great of an actor but under the direction of Cameron he is great.

He's better than people give him credit for, but you're definitely right about Cameron's direction. In T3 he felt like a comedian doing a Terminator impersonation on a sketch show.

T3 in general felt like a really bad parody that sometimes forgot it was a parody.

I am actually one of few Terminator fans still looking forward to this movie, but man, if this true, this is going to be a really bad movie.

Unlike some I actully liked trailer my concerns are

1:Do i really want to get into a time traveling reboot
2:Some of various rumors

let's also be clear just like the force awakens there are conflicting rumors here.

I'm pretty sure the
part about Arnold building a time machine is true. Supposedly he uses it to send Kyle and Sarah to 2017 to stop Judgment Day (again). But he doesn't go with them for some reason and they meet up with him again in 2017, hence the reason why our already aged Terminator looks even OLDER at the end of the trailer. As for Arnold turning into a T-1000... I'm not sure if that's true but during that podcast that was posted here a few months ago (I believe it was from Think McFly Think), one of the guys on there said something at the end that this happens. I believe he read a version of the script, but it's possible that certain things changed since then.

It also sounds like a really dumb way to move the action to the present day, because they're afraid that an action film that takes place in the 80s would turn people off or something. So presto! Find a dumb reason to send them to the present (or near future)!

Well hope fully half of these rumours are not true as they sound awful.

I just hope they have made some changes, I am really looking forward to the movie and liked the trailer, but some of those spoilers sound truly awful.

I was very excited for this movie..... but, now I'm really starting to get worried about it. Not liking some of these spoilers/rumors. really hoping that's just it, horrible rumors.

On another thought, am I the only one that thinks if you took the last half hour of Terminator 3 as a flash back. Mixed it with the opening of Terminator Salvation, had a time jump to Christian Bale's John Conner, we would have had an absolute great Terminator film for the 3rd of the franchise and not the god awful Terminator 3 that we got and I know Salvation if frowned on but I honestly loved it.

They're not rumors, they're all from the script but who cares, this is a last ditch effort to milk the property before they lose the rights.

Exactly. This is how they justify Arnold's real life age in the film. The whole plot of Terminator Genisys (featuring an old man Terminator) revolves around this plot point.

Just the concept of an aged Terminator is so f***ing stupid. Yeah, I get the logic behind it since they use living human tissue, which does age. But it's so obvious that the only reason they did it is because they needed a way to shoehorn Arnold into the movie.

They'd have been better off just rebooting with a new actor playing the Terminator, but they're probably convinced that the franchise can't make any decent money without Arnold there.

This is one of those occasions they would have been better off letting this franchise RIP.

I dont know about reboot but I thought that The Rock couldve made a good Terminator.
