Thanks to recent changes in North American copyright laws it most definitely is.

That's the key reason Paramount and Skydance are so adamant about turning this movie into a series. They want to rush a new trilogy to cash in on before it's too late and the cow could no longer be milked.

A t-800 was sent back earlier to protect a young Sarah Connor. He raises her and calls him pops

On another board I read that the earlier T-800 is sent back to when Sarah is a child to basically kill her parents (John Connor's grandparents) and therefore assume guardianship of Sarah.

This makes no sense obviously since according to the plot this one T-800 was sent back to protect and not kill so I'm guessing that another Terminator may have been sent back to kill Sarah as a child and this Terminator is the one that kills Sarah's parents.

The trailer looks awful. Once again going the Salvation route of big typical PG-13 CGI blockbuster action set pieces instead of more low key menace.

Regardless of what people thought about Salvation, the trailer for that movie was 100X better than the one for this.

I'm watching Salvation as we speak, not sure why; guess I'm bored! Genisys just looks like a mash-up of all previous films with just different characters, they should of at least got the original guy who played T-1000 to comeback as well

The trailers for Salvation were amazing, but I always knew the movie was directed by McG and that always kept my excitement well in check. That was a good thing in the end. I think Genysis will be better than Salvation personally.
