Terminator: Genisys - Part 5

^ He's said stuff like that before though.

Arnold was very charismatic through the show... there were more than a few awkward moments when Jai was there.

Cameron would never badmouth anything Arnold's involved with. They're extremely close friends and he would do anything to support him.

In the newest tv spot Kyle Reese yells Sarah to get down when he sees the good terminator in the van and then starts shooting. I found that to be utterly stupid thing to yell at that moment. She was driving the van, how is she suppose to "get down"? Nobody was even firing at them. Wouldn't it be more wise to yell "jump out" or better yet rehashing the "get out" line in that situation? Maybe Kyle Reese has really bad PTSD.
Of course, Sarah could have eased Kyle's confusion by revealing the good terminator AFTER explaining in detail who he is and what has happened to the timeline. Now Kyle's reaction just makes him look really stupid cro-magnon. Jay Courtney's stupid meathead face doesn't really help either though...

He really does look like a dumb meathead lol.

He needs to work on his image, maybe get some softer roles.

It just baffles me how all the SFX and ad campaign material is simply SO poor for this, in comparison to T2, a film that is now 24 years old can be that much better, is the budget THAT low for Genisys ?

It's not a matter of the budget being low, it has to do with this film apparently having a bigger scale than it can handle, a tighter schedule and people who simply aren't as good as Cameron.

I think a lot of it is just laziness. Little stuff like how they can't even get one of the 1984 punks' hairstyle right while basically directly remaking the scene.

It might be trivial, but it all adds up. There just isn't the same care and attention to detail and dedication that Cameron put into 1 and 2. We haven't gotten that same care since 1992.

It shows the love and care that went into this project. Or in this case, didn't. Compare this to the Fury Road campaign.

I do think the people making Salvation were caring about what they were doing, it just didn't work. Here it seems like pure lazyness.

It makes you wonder what happens with the budget. It's not like this is an all star cast either. Passable and "fairly known" actors sure, but we're not talking actors with a billion dollar salary. So a fairly cheap set of actors, it's a 100+ million dollar movie and the visual effects still look like a cut scene from a 2010 videogame. I bet the boob enhancement software must have cost them tons.

It's just embarrassing how a movie from 1992 has better effects than a movie from 2015.

And it's not that the capability isn't there, there just isn't the same care put into making everything look good.

And then they can't even get a punk's hairstyle right? How hard is that?

It might seem a petty thing to harp on, but it just exmplifies the overall feel that this is a cheap and lazy cash grab.

i think this is it. this is the problem.

they make movies so big because they want 500-700 millions. but come on they didnt think the movie would make this much money based on that script? :loco:
