I am just seeing it to support Arnold. He is at least trying to do things for the fans. He doesn't need to do this stuff you know, he has enough money.

I really doubt he is making Terminator Genisys for the fans.

Maybe Arnold is doing the movie because it moved him......

TO A BIGGER HOUSE!!!!!

he is making the movie for the money. he is rich. but he needs to pay for 4 kids. all of them are used to a lot of money. so its not cheap.

the problem i see here is that with this movie Arnold had the chance to force them to change the script. i dont think the studio would make the same movie with a different actor.

Arnold definitely wants to stay relevant but he isn't dying for cash. He's known to be smart with money. No Nic Cage shenanigans here.

When you get use to a certain type of lifestyle, being smart with your money doesn't mean you get to continue to live that lifestyle when you aren't making money regularly anymore.

True, but being smart also means having other revenue streams. Of course acting is the biggest stream but he doesn't solely rely on it. He still does a crap load of things in the world of bodybuilding and he probably holds shares in whatever.

I can't claim to understand Arnie's finances, but I'd think he is looking for some big paychecks, for whatever reason. Some is relevance, I agree.

I have literally no emotional stake in whether this film is good or not, but similar to Fantastic four, I'd like this movie to be good for two reasons. 1) because I like it when movies are good (funnily enough) 2) I'd love the see the amount of crow eating and egg on face on this board, because some of you people are the worst, especially with this level of judgement and hatred pre-release. Holy hell I wish the film is a blazing success.

If turns out to be a great movie then I'll personally feel happy because I don't want the franchise to keep on failing. I'm sure most people on here share the same sentiment. As of now the marketing, clips, effects, and change in robot designs have given enough reasons for people to bash it pretty badly.

''everything changed''. in Genesys she has been training for years. she should be in shape.

Not necessarily, she has a Terminator to protect her so I doubt she got her hands dirty that much.

Aye. But it looks like Emilia's role is fairly physical, like Linda's was in T2.

True, but this is still a young Sarah remember.

but the terminator would train her to survive when......he is not around.

I'm not going to defend the movie, but comparing the two Sarah Connor's isn't really fair. T2 Sarah Connor is very cut off from the world and has basically had to fend for herself the entire time between T1 and T2 and didn't do a great job of it since she ended up in an institution. This new Sarah has had someone(thing) to at least bond with and help her. While she's probably a little more on the fringe of society, she's probably a little more well adjusted than T2 Sarah.

The Terminator would have no need to leave her, for a number of years at least, this is a very different Sarah.

Exactly. T2 Sarah had nothing to do but workout for years in that institute, said it earlier this is a very different Sarah.

I like Emilia Clarke, but does she look like she is soldier? Like she is in battle shape? Does she need to be in T2 shape? No. But are we acting like she looks combat ready?

Also, people seem to forget that Sarah was a mother for quite a while before going to the institute. What did she do? She trained and trained John. That is what she did. She prepared. In this situation, she should be in the position of John, and training. She isn't a little girl here or unaware.

That is why she is one handing a deagle, power sliding trucks through walls? Are you being serious? :funny:

She looks no less combat ready that women in other movies have. Even in Mad Max Charlize Theron was far from a muscle bound freak but she still sold me that she was a bad ass in the movie. There are plenty of other examples as well.

I have plenty of worries about the movie, T1 and T2 are both in my top 3 movies ever made and I am huge fan (I can actually act out T1 myself i have watched it that much), but this is the last of them.

No one said muscle bound freak. Did Linda Hamliton look like a muscle bound freak? But these women are in great shape. They look combat ready.

You are saying this compares?

Charlize Theron isn't tiny. She also looks like woman, not a little girl playing dress up. Emilia Clarke is 5'2 and far from hard. The standards for this series were set in place over 20 years ago.
