When Cameron gets the rights back,I really hope he just tries making AAA Terminator video games while sitting on the film franchise

This is something I think about all the time!

I would have it be in similar vein to MGS and Hitman and I would have it set both in the present and future war. You can either be a Terminator sent to the past or a Human in the future war

The player would choose from either a T1000 or a T800 both with their own skill set. I would have it so instead of a health bar, each character would have a stealth type meter that would end your game if you blew your cover.
As the T1000 you would have to morph as different people and objects to sneak your way around around and as the T800 your clothing and flesh would get destroyed revealing the endo which you would then need to buy clothing to cover it up.

Maybe..something like that anyway :P

By "buy clothing" you of course mean rip the heart out of someone and steal theirs, yes? I don't think I've ever seen a Terminator buy clothes, much less a bloodied and exposed one. :p

But yeah, a game like that would be cool. A free-roam where you have to track down your targets/charges etc.

Haha oh **** I actually did mean that. Steal them not buy them

Edit: ooh oh and also you would have to go into first person and scan the humans to find a match of clothing that fits.

she is now only an executive producer. things changed from 2012. first her company Annapurna Pictures was producing. now its her brothers.
she took her company out of TG.
She probably saw the wreck it was becoming and wisely pulled out of it.

PG-13 means a pass from seeing this in the theater unless the reviews are awesome (which from what I have seen they will not be). I'll probably see it on Netflix. The go to recourse when a movie is almost certainly going to stink but you just can't resist seeing how badly.

I like your ideas,Something similar to Terninator 3:Redemption would be cool too. A kinda underrated game

What is the deal about it being PG13, wasn't T2 PG13 ? In France it was only restricted to viewer under 12 y/o, the movie itself was very kid friendly.

YES! a free roam open world Terminator game would be a dream come true. Its always a possiblitly. I never ever expected a open world free roam Mad Max game and its coming out soon!

^^
It seems that it will be PG-13 ( quick google ) but my question was directed to Teelie, I'm curious about why he/she would pass on it because of the rating when the most loved movie in the franchise was also PG-13 ( under 12 in my country ).

I meant T2 is R-rated, you asked if it was PG-13.

Because a lower standard of rating means a lower standard of what can be permitted in a movie. The Terminator series was meant to be rated R. It was meant to have that high level of violence, blood, language and story.

With a PG-13 rating you have to tone it down to a more broadly accepted level that usually constrains a movie from its full potential. This is not the case of a franchise that started PG-13 and stayed that way.

Though the rating is not the only or even major factor in passing on the theater. Everything leading up to and including the lower rating gives me the impression of a more kid-friendly movie. One that does not feel respectable to the previous ones.

Yep, It was clear, once she pulled financing, she washed her hands from this project. It had turned into something different than what she envisioned when she bought the rights.

Cameron wont sit on the rights. He likes money too much. My best hopes are he uses it as a platform for up and coming film makers.

The money he would make from licensing would be chump change compared to what he already is worth and what he currently makes.

If another film will get made, it'll be for creative reasons and under his close supervision. He mentioned previously in an interview that the one thing he likes about the rights reverting is that it'll prevent Terminator from ever being remade.

Cameron has had what seems to be contradictory interviews on the future of more Terminator movies. Some of them it sounds clear he wants to let the franchise be buried and in others it sounds like he is interested in possibly doing another movie again in the future (after Avatar and whatever else he's got going on obviously).

Too me it looks better then Salvation. But really the cgi Arni needs too go if have the older model already. Get another high profile big dude too do a new T800 Stone Cold be a good terminator and he'd barely have to talk.

To be fair, T2 was a mild R. There wasn't a lot sans maybe one or two deaths that warranted that rating.

Arnie slamming the cop into the poll would get anything an R. The sound design was brilliantly brutal. And lets not forget the language. Again, like with Fury Road, a lot of what would be changed are the impact shoots and a lot of the little things that elevate the general feel of the film. Editing down T2 would lessen its impact.

a mild R. hah. it was a R movie even without the action. there are shots in that movie that i can not post here because they would delete my post.
