Terminator: Genisys

If you look at the part that says 'SCENE and 'SET' it says..

The T-1000 crashes into someone named Brink's truck and it takes place in downtown 1984 LA. Also Rob Mars and Billy Lucas are listed as stunt doubles for a character named 'Guardian'.

Billy Lucas has been Arnold Schwarnzegger's stunt double in several films.

Gee so we might be getting the T1000 in the 80s. This is going to be one interesting movie

For whatever reason (maybe because it's Terminator) I do have high hopes for the film, and remain optimistic. After reading how Megan Ellison bought it, and since 2011 helped mold a good story/script has me hopeful. Same with the fact that Drew did say the script was good, but it would really come down to if it was pulled off correctly. I know this film could end up being a meh film. But from the story I've heard so far, it sounds very interesting, and different for Terminator. So here's to hoping its good. It's my wildcard for 2015 but I can't help but be really excited for possibilities.

I'm in the exact same boat as you. One thing I'll add, though-

I feel like DoFP (which I. ****ing. LOVED) may have already stolen some of this films thunder, with the jumping back and forth in time to (presumably) alter the future. I know that's the premise of a whole heap of time travel movies, but D0FP being so well received, and just a year earlier, it may not come off as fresh as it otherwise might have (especially if it's not as well done).

Though, we will get the treat of revisiting events from the first two movies and adding different angles/levels to them. So maybe that will be different enough. *shrug*

Either way, I remain cautiously optimistic for T:G.

Whoa... you know Clarke looks surprisingly like Linda Hamilton there.

So who is Arnold supposed to be in this? Surely not a Terminator?

According to Drew Mcweeny he is a T-800 that has been sent back to the 60's or something and has the living tissue has been aging for years. Not a bad idea instead of faking him being young. Covered in living tissue sweats bad breath "everything" as Kyle said. And Emilia looks great.

Clarke looking beautiful as always
strange to writte that Jason Clarke looks beatiful. why is John Connor in the past in a suit next to his young mother? is she trying to kill him?

yes i am joking :o:up:

i agree.
if you have Ahnuld at 66 its the best idea to have an old terminator.

does it make sense? no. but lets enjoy an austrian in a scifi movie. :woot:

Well in the Terminator universe it is grown human skin so it would age.

skin over a metal robot would age like on a human?

In that world yes. It heals and sweats everything. It is just like our flesh/skin so it would age over time.

How does time travel work? :o

Days of Future Past is easily the best Terminator film since T2.

Why do you think Bryan Singer pitched it to James Cameron and got his approval before he started shooting. ;)

Who are the two ER escapees with Ahnuld?

It's Sarah Connor and Kyle Reese. The man (in the suit) that they're pointing the gun to, is the adult John Connor.

i agree.

Yeah how does that work ???

Well seeing as the skin is living tissue, it's not out of the realms of movie possibility to believe it would age and weather, etc. just like normal human skin. It's not really that far fetched, imo.

Agreed within the parameters of what T1 and T2 laid out it's not far fetched. I'm so glad they finally dumped the biker gear for him.

Yeah how does that work ???

Long story short: Skin like many other body parts has DNA, Proteins etc. all within chromosomes and Telomeres protect the chromosome while DNA makes Proteins like Collagen which keeps skin elastic and loses that ability as you age. That comes from Telomeres degenerating and the chromosome(which contains DNA needed to make Collagen) shortens.
