I could care less about the title. As long as the movie is good, I'm happy.

So you do care?

The spelling is so damn awkward it has to be in direct reference to an entity or plot point of the movie.

Perhaps "Gen 1 /sys"? Are they above Linux references? :o

I was fine with Genesis. Genisys sounds like SEGA is returning to gaming with a sequel to the Sega Genesis...called the Sega Genisys.

Which I would buy.

I bet the Asylum version will be called:

Exterminator: Orygen

Genisys sounds like an app that grants wishes.

Or a pro wrestler.

Or a movie that I'll wait for the DVD to watch.

Genisys sounds like the name of a ****** weight training supplement.

It's not even 'Genesys' which I could except. It's the more awkward spelling of 'Genisys' that gets me.

Yeah, doesn't really make sense, even if it is a plot device. Genesys does look better.

I think Terminator: Genesis was a better title than Genesys or Genisys, either way, all i care is for this film to be good, it's been 2 hits and 2 misses for the franchise qualitywise, T-3 and Salvation may have some moments and entertainment value, but they pale in comparison to the first 2. If they ever want to just give closure to the original 2, i always thought that the best way to make it a Trilogy was to have the 3rd film be a sequel/ prequel about John Connor's final battle and decision to send Kyle and the T-800 in time, making sure the time traveling was a loop, instead of having Kyle sleeping with Sarah erase the John Connor from Kyle's original timeline out of existence.

By the way, is James Cameron somehow involved with this? I heard he spoke with David Ellison and both discussed the future of the franchise, so i hope he has his fingerprints over the movie somehow.

I picked up 'The Terminator' on blu-ray today and saw a poster of Matt Smith next to the blu-ray section, which just then reminded me that he's also in this.

I was mildly interested in this when I heard it was going to be a full-reboot. But now that I've seen the cast list and found out the Thor 2 Director is directing this I'm just going to wait until it comes out on DVD.

With so much time travel, canon can eventually become irrelevant. Or irylevynt.

The arm skin removal is still my favorite special effect of the series...

Yt took me a few moments but now Y see what iou dyd there! :cwink:

The title is quirky and funny but I don't mind it.

I hated Terminator: Salvation so this one better be good!

When I came here, I seriously thought the thread creator was borderline illiterate.
