At around 10pm, myself and another co-worker find that someone went into our lockers and coats and stole from us. We had reason to believe it was our security guard, he would frequently go downstairs throughout the day and no one else goes downstairs (where our things are) because customers aren't allowed, he's a real shady character at least we all thought so.

So my manager decides to call the police and file a report, the cop comes and we tell her what was stolen, my money and my co-worker's debit card, and the cop gets an attitude with us. The stuff that got stolen may not have been a big deal but that doesn't change the fact that someone came down stairs and took our ****. My co-worker tells the cop she thinks it was him, so now both the guard and the cop yell at my co-worker. So she's starting to get emotional because these two are yelling at her and then they take it out on my manager.

I just let it go and walk away, but my co-worker is now calling someone and says that she's going to go home, and the cop tells her that if she leaves she could be arrested and I'm thinking .

Then the cop's sergeant shows up, and that's when I went downstairs to count the money for the day (this was closing time) 20 minutes go by and everyone has gone home except my manager, who comes downstairs to help me out. Then she (my manager) starts crying because of everything that happen and I try to calm her down.

So, I ended up missing my train and my manager drove me home.

I don't know how anyone else would have felt, but I thought it was messed up that someone steals from us, we call the police, and the police get an attitude because we thought we were doing the right thing.

Damn, some cops these days. My guess was that she was pissed because she was probably in some warm office and had to leave and actually do some work.

In my lifetime...I have NEVER had the police assist me (or the person in need) when they were needed. Not a single time have I witnessed it with my own eyes.

My mom had someone shoot a hole through her front door...the neighbor ran over and said he saw who did it...the cop refused to file a report because "if he wanted to do anyone harm he wouldnt have shot the door"

A female friend of mine was attacked in a hotel and the perp tried to drag her into his room...he used a key to open the door, mind you...and she was cut on the breast and kind of roughed up. The police spoke to the guy (who she IDed upon seeing through a window) and since the guy told the cop that he hadnt left his room, the cop refused to arrest him because "she must have gotten gthe rooms mixed up".

An ex of mine..who I hadnt even spoken to in months...broke into my house while I was away. I called the police when I came home and found her...the police officer got mad at ME for calling the police on a helpless girl, and allowed her to take whatever she wanted from my house, because "if she says it bellongs to her, then it belongs to her". She even took my baby photos because the cop agreed that I probably gave them to her at some point.

I could go on and on and on....

I swear, firefighters and EMTs are so much more useful that police officers :whatever:

I hated that there wasn't much I could do because, let's face it, when dealing with police it's almost a no-win situation.

But what I really hated was that they made these women cry because the cop was accusing them of some wrong doing.

Yes, how dare she accuse the only person on earth who could have done it.

that's why they say "***** the police"

A couple of my friends and I got ditched by some guys in a sketchy neighborhood. We were lost and needed directions, so we asked some officers for help. All I got from them was a rude comment about how we deserved to be ditched because of the shirt I was wearing. My shirt was nothing more that a black concert shirt from the band Social Distortion with a skeleton on the front holding a drink and a smoke.

Jail guards are even bigger a$$holes.

The police: powerless to help you, but powerful enough to harrass you instead.

I was swarmed like, 2 weeks ago and all the cops I dealt with helped me out.
Then again I had lacerations from a weapon and was drenched in blood.

LoL, guess they're only really helpful when the damage has been done. Sucks.

S**tty deal man, hope you get your stuff back.

It wasn't so much the money, which wasn't alot anyway, but just the fact that personal property was taken from us and the cop acts like it wasn't important.

When this **** happens to me, I call Joe Pesci. He's a man who gets things done. Especially with a baseball bat.

i've been helped by the police...

my mom is renting a house, and the downstairs tenant was drunk cursing and screaming downstairs, i was putting together a television stand hammering it together and he thought i was banging on the floor to tell him to stop.

so long story short, he bangs on my door wanting to kick my ass with 4 of his friends, my mom calls the police and two cops showed up and put them in there place.
the cops told me if it ever happens again they'd be happy to take care of it..

years ago my mom was renting a crackhead lady tried to break our door down with a hammer we called the police and they took care of it...
sad thing is these places were in nice towns to..

i guess it depends who the cops are..iv dealt with bad cops as well as more good cops though.
