how would you guys react if micheal did not come back but instead they made tess evil and she became the female lex for smallville? maybe lex clone would transfer all of his memories and thoughts to her?

ive been thinking about this and i think it might happen. she is close to clark and the league now. can you imagine if she became a full luthor "in spirit" and turned against them in the end?

we all know smallville doesn't follow the mythos.

thoughts?

I doubt that. Tess really hasn't been truly evil. Just more morally off. I don't think they would turn her evil. And on michael front we still don't know what is eally going on there. So I wouldn't count him out just yet.

I don't think Tess will betray Clark and his group, but if she does it will most likely be under Darkseid and Granny Goodness' doings than Lex himself. Besides we have Darkseid, Suicide Squad, and Lex out there so that should be enough for the villains of this season. :super:

the writers don't seem to know what to do with tess. id be alright with her becoming evil on her own. if lex comes back ill be happy too, but right now i just do not see it.

i mean how many of you actually bought the rumor she might be a luthor until you saw it for yourself. :o

anything on this show is a possibility.

I think what's up with tess is fine right now. Sure the whole checkmate agent and other stuff was silly. But I think they have a set plan now.

so how are you so sure she will not turn evil at all? both her father and brother are backstabbers. it's luthor nature. im just saying do not count out any possibility until it happens.

Lex and Lucas are psychotic while Tess and Grant Gabriel (Julian) want to redeem the Luthor name. Don't forget that Tess loved Lionel when she was little in comparison to Lex's relationship with him. Do you think she will forgive Lex for killing their father? I doubt it. :super:

tess is screwed up as it is. now to find out shes a luthor, her brother is lex and her father abandoned her. yeah id say that's a reason to turn to the dark side a bit. im not saying this will happen but it is a possibility. if lex does come back she will probably be killed off by him. not much else they can do with her character then.

I would much rather see Tess continue on as Watchtower 2.0. I've very much enjoyed her turn for the better. Webhead is right, she's never been truly evil, just wrong in how she conducted her business.

I am curious to see how she'll let the whole "I'm a Luthor" news affect her. I'd love to see her continue on her path of being a better person and helping the league, but I also wouldn't be suprised if this gets to her and she ends up deciding that she wants to be her own person, so she takes on a new alias completely made up herself: Mercy Graves (hey, Ollie called her Mercy from time to time. Who knows?) Then, if Lex ever comes back on the scene, I could see her becoming a Starscream like character, on the surface appearing to revert to being his right hand person, but all the while secretly plotting against him with her own agenda.

I'm not saying I want that. Quite the contrary. Like I said, Tess should continue as Watchtower 2.0 in my opinion. I could care less if she changes her name to Mercy Graves. And the whole idea that she would want to be her own person goes both ways. She might want to go off on her own and begin secretly plotting against Lex, or she might stay with the league in defiance of the way her family is known to behave. But I wouldn't be suprised...

PS
I only bring up the name Mercy because Ollie has called her that in the past. I'm not crossing my fingers and holding my breath hoping they line her up with the comics/STAS or any of that kind of shenanigans. I could see where they might try and do that though.

Sure her family are sobs and all that. But tess seems to be trying to be a different person. So I would think she would fight being a luthor.

I like her as the 2nd Watchtower. What happens after Chloe finishes her arc? Watchtower will have to be maintained by Tess. :super:

Well we don't know what's going to happen to chloe or tess by the end.

I think we will see Tess become a full-out Fury, even it's just for an episode or two. And I don't expect her to live all the way until the end of this season.

I keep seeing people saying they think she will be killed off, is that even possible now that she is officially Lena Luthor?

Why is she officially Lena Luthor? Her name is Lutessa, hence the name Tess.

So, looking up, Lena is Lex's Sister in the comics. Added in the Silver Age. Brought back in the Modern Age.
Sounds likes the standard stupid Silver Age ideas. Like Red Kryptonite.
"Let's make Superman turn into a fire-breathing dragon! No, wait, a Giant! No, an Ant-head Superman!"
So, they did call her Lena?
That said, and I'm sure I'm not the only one, but this is what will happen to me if they make her pure and crazy evil.

So they just put Lena on the Birth Certificate for *****s and giggles?

So ,what, her name is Lutessa Lena Luthor?
Or is it Lena Lutessa Luthor?

I must have missed that on the birth certificate.
That said, why?

With all the Silver Age stuff they're throwing down, they better make Superman Bronze Age power at least.

I mean, what next? Titano the Super-Ape? :)

Also, geez, no reason to be hostile to me just because I didn't know.

It was Lutessa Lena Luthor. Who knows maybe it won't matter and they will kill her off anyway. I just don't think they have to. If they wanted to end her run with a nod to the comics they could have her go into hiding using the name Lena Thorul.

Her middle name is Lena. Much like how Jimmy's real name was Henry James Olsen. :csad:

I don't think they're suicidal enough to kill her off though.
And thanks for the explanation, I didn't see it.

I am sorry.
I also don't see her becoming a Fury. That's not exactly something you can change back from. Even Big Barda still has the power from when she was the head of the Furies.

Wait, did they kill her off?

I just don't think Tess should be given the powers of a Demi-God who can hold their own against Superman.
Especially if they're going to keep her as Lena Luthor.
The Luthors are powerful, but they are hardly God-like. I for one wouldn't like to see Lex's "sister" stronger than a battleship.

She is a real luthor from lionel and pamela. And I don't see the problem making her lena its a nice twist and nod/homage to comics. And now makes her a comic character.

Oh I agree, but I just wasn't sure if they were going the clone route or not. I love what they are doing with the character.

Yea its a pretty nice twist, and story wise works as a retcon unlike vertias and some other stuff tried to do. Also I don't see this tess deal anything like the ashmore jimmy fisaco.
