That annoying pr**k in your class....

Well, it is a speech class

Yeah, but we're soppose to be taught by the teacher, not him. When he's on one of his rants ppl starting yawning loudly, sucking their teeth as if to say "hurry up", and looking at their watches in plain view. I've heard several ppl say, "for the love of god'' loud enough for him to hear it, and he still continues. It's like he's in his own world.

Does the teacher tell him to shut up? If enough of you complains, s/he'll speak to him, and if he keeps it up you could get him removed from the class. Might take awhile, but it's doable.

Speech Class doesn't mean you show up and talk the entire time. ;)

jag

We wouldn't complain if he was going on about a debate as to whether or not Spider-Man's 10 ton strength limit was enough to cause damage to Fin Fang Foom while being possessed by Sue Storm in Malice mode.

God, even I think that was way too dorky. :o

I think the teacher's just being polite for right now. In a few weeks i can really see ppl pulling the teacher aside, and letting her know they're tired of this *******, or actually telling him to shut up during class themselves.
Happened during my Art History class a few semesters back. Two girls used to sit at the back of the class, gossiping for the entire time. You couldn't actually hear what they were saying but you could hear that constant, annoying mumbling/whistling sound. Well about a month into the semester this other girl stood up and told them to shut up. Catty words were exchanged, but those girls never talked during class again.

We had the same guy in my speech class. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same guy. Does your guy kinda look like Tom Cruise and is a vegan?

LOL! Nah. This guy resembles Zach Baff from 'Scrubs'. I swear this guy has either ADD, or an extra chromosome.

My guy definitely had ADD too. He went on a 20 minute rant on how women love him cause he's so damn spontaneous. Like this one time he totally stole some guy's chick when he went into a bar wearing pajama bottoms and a too short, cut off t-shirt that said "Jaaam!" And then told us that we all should be like him. I think he wanted to be a motivational speaker.

Some people just like to hear themselves talk.

Apparently I'm the "strong silent type" according to my friends. I have a few friends who talk an awful lot though.

Know-it-all's are the worst type of people in the world. It's like, what are they doing? Showing off? They just come off like a**holes and they know it.

You ever meet someone and you just know they're going to be a jerk? Every job I've had I met that one guy on the first day and I already knew it. I was never wrong. They're usually the ones that can't stand silence, and if you are a quiet person, they will eventually say something sarcastic about you should you ever do something outside of your bubble.

i get bored of the trend in education where noone dares to answer questions. everyone just ends up sitting around waiting for things to move on.

Reading this topic sure has boosted my confidence for my first day of public speaking class tomorrow!

Really, though, I hope I don't have to deal with one of these guys in my class.

Yes, I know many like that. The gym is full of loud mouths. Funny thing though, the more you talk I find the less you know and can produce in there...seems to be a direct correlation in fact.

Theres one in every school. Sometimes, theres even more than one and they ban together. :(

Heh. I got one in my acting class. He has this swagger like his the ultimate *****.
He looks like he jumped out of a 1999 Limp Bizkit music video. He wears a skull cap that says "Do the Dew" and always carries a white towel hanging out of his back pocket. Why? Does he wipe the sweat of basketball courts for a living?

He thinks his comebacks are really smart. He's just so pathetic. I want to punch him in the face. Or at least rip him a new ******* verbally. He makes fun of this poor soft spoken chubby kid in my class cause he likes bugs bunny and sonic cartoons. The funny thing is that WE ARE ALL ANIMATION MAJORS. WTF? And everyone laughs at him like he's right. Sad world.

Any man that would laugh at another man for liking Bugs Bunny is a ******. Bugs Bunny is what every man aspires to be.

There was a guy like that at one of my old jobs, always had something to say then talk **** about you because you did your own thing. And to make it worse, everyone liked this guy.
