Or are YOU that friend?

A buddy of mine was telling me about something him and his girl did:

"Yeah, man...me and mother f#@$%g Jenny just went there last mother f*#@&g night" :hehe:

This ****in thread ****in sucks!

Nah, I know some guys like that, and one girl. But they aren;t really my friends. I don't mind the whole cussing thing, I swear all the time, but not like a sailor....or something.

people who sound like they are a Kevin Smith character are only funny when they are not aware that they are funny

Depends if I'm in a mood, then the f bombs come and even between words.

Abso-f'ing-lutely.

I've known people like that.

I feel my intelligence drop when I hear people like that.

I've noticed once or twice that I'm swearing much more than the friend I'm talking to, if I do catch myself doing it, I'll kick in the internal censor which gets a lot of practice since many family events include little kids and I barely ever let a swear word out when they're around.

That would probably apply to the dude I'm talking about. He isn't cussing to be funny necessarily...just cusses a lot lol

Agreed. You can't force being like cranky Banky :D

I used to be that guy I think. Over time I've gotten better with keeping my cussing down to a bare minimum, and it's usually only when I'm really pissed off at something or someone.

I am that friend.

I usually catch myself though and censor appropriately, but sometimes I let slip a few more cuss words than necessary. Thing is though, most of my friends are like that too, so sometimes things do get pretty bad, especially when we play video games.

Same way. When I get heated from playing certain video games any and all cuss words will/could come flying out of my mouth.

That's why I never have my mic on when I play games on X-Box Live, almost every time I die I swear.

They're just words, like any other word in the English language. I've never understood why people get upset with them.

I am that guy...but I agree with Worthy, they are just words. I don't feel the need to censor myself around others, cause it is not an issue to me. Unless I am in a professional environment, where that can get me fired, I say whatever I want.

I don't get upset personally. I cuss too. Just not in any and every situation like the friend I was talking about. I can actually string together three sentences without a "m.f." in it

Cuss to much?

What f**k you talking about?

in most cases, I am that friend . . . but I don't use it to an annoying degree . . .

I love hearing people swear.

I was just watching The Kentucky Fried Movie for the first time last night, and by far the funniest parts were where they used profanity for no reason in an unexpected way.

I used to try to censor myself when talking to my family, and then I came to the beautiful realization..."This is me. I use F words, and say **** and *****. That's how I speak...just like my Aunt...well, she says "Fiddle Sticks!" or "Darn"......well, I express MYself with the words I like. So if they want to know me, they should really know me, the real me."

And now I don't dread phone calls from the family as much. It's great being yourself, and being around people who respect you enough to let you choose your own WORDS.

If I hear a roommate yelling from the kitchen, "Who the F*** keeps leaving the oven on?!? :cmad:", I feel so much more happy and "at home" than if they yelled, "Who keeps leaving the oven on."

I'm watching a movie with this chick, and she goes, "Oh that was so F***ING cool! :D, rewind that!!", I'm so much happier than if she went, " Oh, that was neat."

**** you all, prudes. :o
Vowels and Consonants, arranged to express feelings and refer to aspects of life.
Grow up.

I have a fairly strong dislike for profanity and I try not to have anything to do with those who use it if possible. When I was a kid profanity was fairly rare and frowned upon by most people. Even into my late teens and early 20's it wasn't common.

i'll admit i curse to much and dont even notice it any more. but again it depends on the company i'm with at the time

i hate people like taht..i try not to make friends with them.
*BAM!* That's me in a nutshell. I saw this kids at EB and they were saying stuff like "man that muther F***ing ****er was such a little wh***! She f******* wouldn't let me f******* get that F***** game... what's the f******* name...? F***ing s***! I F***ing forgot! F***!!!!"

I actually wanted to punt his head.:cmad:
