Oh boy, DW/AA is going after Kingdom of the Crystal Skull now

Grrr....KOCS was good! It's was like the old ones. The only bad scenes were the teens racing the Russians, Tarzan Mutt & alien ship.

I was fine with the aliens, the ship just was stupid. The temple should of imploded. Nuke scene was fun & something only Indiana Jones could do. Also, to be honest. Aliens are more believable than hearts being ripped out, with the person still living & Indian demons.

I fully agree. I honestly can't stand how people try to nitpick it to death, when it wasn't that bad.

I thought the aliens felt out of place in an Indiana Jones movie, and that fridge thing was freaking ridiculous.

Other than that, it wasn't too bad. I'm not about to put "OMG, Indy should always be teh singlez!!!1" near the top of my list of things wrong with that movie.

I agree, it was fun enough, though it was definitely inferior to the other three (though I'm still undecided if it was better or worse than Temple of Doom).

But in hindsight, the alien thing makes sense. Indiana Jones was always meant to be a throwback to the pulp fiction of the 1930's. The stories from that time often revolved around ancient prophecies, lost civilizations and things like that - exactly the kind of things the first three Jones' were about. The pulp fiction of the 1950's was quite different. By that time we had split the atom and were looking to send things into space, so pulp fiction became more sci-fi oriented. It would make sense for the Indiana Jones series to reflect that change.

After watching the NC's top 11 cliche video, I agree with all except for the sexy cry. I can deal without them.

The suit-up must be honorable mention (since it was shown in the beginning) because that's something that should've been in the top 11.

Well, I'm going through with it. I have a new, powerful computer a decent camera and good editing software, so I'm making my own crappy web series.

I made a trailer.

EDIT: reuploaded with better quality.

I like it. Watch your audio levels, though. Your speech and the background music are competing for attention.

Absolutely love the title. I can already see the crossover the the Cinema Snob. :awesome:

Just tone down the background music a bit, and you've got a good start.

Get this up on the TGWTG forums.

Oh it's up there, competing with about 28 other shows scrambling to get picked up.

I'm working on my pilot episode as we speak: Lars von Trier's Antichrist.

That's the exact reason why KOCS had aliens.

I'm watching Nostalgia Critic's review on Last Action Hero and did anyone else think he was way off on that movie? I tend to agree with his points, but he's coming up short on this one for me.

It's been so long since I've seen it, I don't remember. But I dislike the movie too much to watch his review again. :p

As an Arnold fan it has a special place in my heart, yet I understand it has a lot of problems that he touched on, but he really nitpicked on a lot of the movie.

Agreed, it's far from a perfect movie and it deserves some of the criticism he gave it, but I think he just went a bit far and ignored some of the parts that were obviously parody.

Ya, it was bad to review a parody movie unless it's reeeeeeeeally horrible like the *place subject here* Movies.

So I just saw Titus... This disgusting movie with nothing but unlikable characters really ended up on NC's top 20 list?! Really?

Well, Julie Taymor's a bit of an acquired taste, and even scholars think that Titus Andronicus was basically Shakespeare selling out.

Still, I might do a review of that one day...

Yeah, really I should say I don't like the story of Titus in general, at least that's the way it seems since this movie is faithful to the dialogue and characters I hear. Though to be a little fair I'll give it credit. Shakespeare did well present how horrible the cycle of revenge can go and how it can make a person lose sight of who they once were; even if a bit over the top.
