Wait... Wiseau is posting on the forums using the name of his character from The Room? Yeesh.

no, the guy who sent the copyright e-mail is named john and runs theroommovie.com (checkout the site seriously all that's missing is an alter for worship) but an interview thats out there proves that tommy uses the name john to run the site undercover

You are TEARING US APART, Tommy Wiseau!

This is just sad. I wish I could see the look on Wiseau's face when he watches NC's new video.

I just hope Nostalgia critic will post the later schelduled video soon.

Brad Jones put together a video related to the whole Room fiasco that's really funny

So, I was at my hotel during Comic-Con, and I swear I shared an elevator with Tommy Wiseau!

The doors were closing, and me and the other two in the elevator hear someone say "Wait, wait, wait!" We hold the door open, and in walks Wiseau! For a split second, it doesn't hit me. But then he says thanks in that unmistakable voice and ambiguous accent, and I realize who it is.

You sure it wasn't a cosplayer? Wiseau is really easy to imitate.

But if it wasn't, you sir have had a brush with forces you cannot begin to comprehend.

I did have that thought. But he had the voice, accent, build, hair, even that odd face with the large forehead going on.

What?! The Chick was at Comic-Con?! Why did no one tell me of this! :cmad:

Man I love Spoony, he's funny as hell, but does it seem like at times he intentionally tries not to get the material he reviews just to see what fanboys he can troll? I mean, I give merit where it's due, and he made some legitimate complaints about FFX, but um, it was unarguably Tidus' story. Yes, Yuna was the one chosen to sacrifice herself and another when battling Sin, but as we know that method would merely delay Sin's wrath before perpetuating him. It was Tidus who decided they should destroy Sin through a different method. Tidus who was created by, I believe it was, the Aeons in some dream reality or something (got confusing there). Tidus whose father was Sin. Tidus whom Auron (the guy who actually knew everything that was going on) acknowledged as the main character in every shape in form./rant

Ah well. I believe they say you can tell the people you care about by how much they can piss you off. Does that same concept come similarly in the form of how much you respect a reviewers opinions and how well they can troll you?

Having not played an FF game since VII, I have no idea if he's right or not. From what I gather, he at least believes the story is supposed to be about Yuna. Spoony doesn't come off as someone who would ******** his fans.

Spoony has a unique perspective about the things he reviews. Sometimes it's the "wrong" perspective (as in, clearly not the perspective the audience should focus on), but sometimes it's just an ability to see things from multiple angles.

In the case of FFX, he sees it as Yuna's story rather than Tidus'. With Ferris Bueller's Day Off, he kept pointing out how much of an evil jackass Ferris is. It's stuff like that.

He's said in one of his written reviews that he has a a guilty pleasure in pissing off any fanbase that accumulates under a popular franchise, with exception to JMS whom he admits to being apart of one such fanbase. I can't remember which review that was right now though.

Ferris Buller I can understand. Yuna? No. I think it's just his dislike for Tidus coming through again on that one. Every element of the story in the end falls upon Tidus not letting Yuna be another summoner to sacrifice herself to Sin, Auron witnessing his father become the new Sin, and Tidus (iirc) being created by Aeons and collected by Auron to kill Sin once and for all where the Summoners usually just delay it's return with their suicidal pilgramages. There's no other perspective to take.

anyone know when the NC's review of The Flintstones movie is going online ?

Whatever happened to New vs Old with War of the Worlds?
