Same deal as last year; come here to talk (complain) about your Fantasy Football squad.

Match-ups, Rosters, Trades, Waivers, Injuries, and all the other foundations of Fantasy stress. :o

I'm in 5 Leagues and one of them has drafted (Auto) based on my own rankings and the results....well it's bittersweet, see for yourself:

Aaron Rodgers QB- GB

Ryan Grant RB- GB

Ryan Mathews RB- SD

Chad Ochocinco WR- CIN

Dwayne Bowe WR- KC

Brandon Marshall WR- MIA

Kellen Winslow TE- TB

Fred Jackson RB- BUF

Jonathan Stewart RB- CAR

Ricky Williams RB- MIA

Mario Manningham WR- NYG

Jerricho Cotchery WR- NYJ

Ben Roethlisberger QB- PIT

Matt Prater K- DEN

Philadelphia Eagles DEF

I could do without Ochocino, Manningham, Cotchery, and maybe Ryan Matthews depending on how he develops.

I was really hoping to get Chris Johnson or Ray Rice, not to mention at least 1 elite receiver.

I am a Panthers fan and dunno if Stewart is injured or what. Not really paying attention to preseason though. Just know of a young team that is more or less having a QB battle and WR battle for #2.

My team is so-so, too lazy to post it here.

heres my first draft of the year in a standard league on espn...the real keeper league draft is friday! im excited!

Joe Flacco, Bal QB
Chris Johnson, Ten RB
Ryan Grant, GB RB
Jonathan Stewart, Car RB
Miles Austin, Dal WR
Marques Colston, NO WR
Owen Daniels, Hou TE
49ers D/ST, SF D/ST
Ryan Longwell, Min K

bench
Santana Moss, Was WR
Ahmad Bradshaw, NYG RB
Matthew Stafford, Det QB
Arian Foster, Hou RB
Johnny Knox, Chi WR
Willis McGahee, Bal RB
Leon Washington, Sea RB

I took Matthew Berrys advice from espn to see how it goes (his advice was draft several RB's...even if they are sharing carries cause one might surprise you like charles and harrison did last year)

The only problem with taking a bunch of RB's is that FF has changed along with the NFL and WR's are almost on equal ground now. RB's are getting less and less touches the past few years which was the main reason they were so valued. RBBC is the norm now. League settings and amount of teams in the league are big factors as well, but the overall landscape has changed so much.

WTF! You came out golden in that Draft dude, I'd kill for that starting lineup.

We both got Ryan Grant and Stewart though. :o

I'm havnt started my FF draft yet, its in a week, but i have the first pick. And i'm stuck on who to get. Everyone is saying CJ, but i dont think he'll have a season anywhere near as good as last year. So who do yall think would be the best choice for me at number 1?

Aaron Rodgers is a Fantasy Point Leader and has been for about 3 or 4 years, so he's a safe bet. Andre Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning.

It depends on what you're focused on.

If there is one piece of advice I can give you its that you should wait for a TE , esp this yr .

it would be inpossible for him to repeat last yrs numbers, but at the same time it would be foolish for you to pass on him ( Im predicting him to get 1400 rushing yards 8 tds 400 rec 2 rds). I do think that this season will be his last yr as the number 1rb.

yeah man thats what i did...the TE list is so packed this year...wait till a late round and get all the good receivers and backs while everyone jumps the gun!

and thanks Genesis :yay:

yip according to fftoolbox Oakland has the best schedule for a TE ( Zach Miller) now I know many ppl will pass on oakland because its well um oakland.

Definitely wait on the TE but hope to God you get a good one. If there was ONE area I was hurting last year, it was at the TE position. Ended up with Todd Heap who just fell OFF the map last year.

I look forward to seeing how my other 4 League Drafts turn out, but a Draft is frustration made flesh anyway. Painful to watch Chris Johnson and Fitz slip away from me in the 1st Round. :o

after a year off and actually enjoying the year of not playing, I am jumping back into FF land....I need a cool team name

Really...Zach Miller might be a crazy steal...An actual quarterback is on their team now...not the best...but Jason Campbell is still a good passer. And Miller showed signs last year with nobody...could be a great year for that guy

yeah man you definitely dont want the worst...but if an Owen Daniels (hurt last year but look at his stats until then) and Zach Miller is in a later round...You have yourself a great Fantasy point contributer!

I went with Optimus Prime-time a couple years ago...Nerdy and still NFL related...but there are TONs of great names...this year in my main league I cant decide what to name myself...I'm honestly suggesting the name Beard.

Thanks guys.

I just received a trade offer for Darren Sproles or Devin Hester and I give up Reggie Bush.......thoughts?

Dear god im taking part in proberbly the slowest draft ( idp league) taking 2 weeks now.

Let's go, hell yeah. Much better Draft in my Black Death League:

QB: Peyton Manning, Chad Henne

RB: Joseph Addai, Rashard Mendeanhall, Fred Jackson, Mandario Hardesty, Jonathan Stewart

WR: Johnny Knox, Greg Jennings, Malcom Flyoyd, Devon Hester Braylon Edwards

TE: Antonio Gates

K: Robbie Gould

DEF: Ravens

Looks like another Championship year to me, and still 2 more Drafts Friday.

Damn, I love this. :o

Sproles is the 3rd down back in SD
and Devin Hester is gonna be a starter...but Knox is the receiver they say Cutler likes so there might not be much value there...
on the other hand...Bush is playing great in preseason(it is just preseason)
and can still get some great fantasy points...I'd keep Bush and see what happens...but if you have a gut feeling you should go for it...my bro did somethin crazy last year and ended up in the championship because of Miles Austin! hah

Thanks for the advice. I'm not real sure about Sproles and I had Hester last year and he didn't kill me, but he didn't do what I hoped he would either. I hear alot of buzz about Bush this preseason....I may ride it out and see where it takes me.

this is my first year playing and was at work during draft time so i was autopicked. I got the QB, DEF, and TE's that I wanted but my best receiver is Rice and we all know he's missing half the season :(

who the **** still does drafts during the week?? you can set that **** to go on a weekend when most normal people are available

Dont worry ComicChick! If theres one thing thats for certain is theres always several surprises at Wide Receiver every year...Check for an early surprise (Austin being a top dog last year...but I got Sims-Walker in one league and it saved my team from missing the playoffs) and hope to nab him first in Waivers and your still all set! :yay:

But yes...Weekday drafts suck.
