Now that Arnold is out as governor of California, he should go back to movies. Maybe he should start making "Jingle All the Way 2: Revenge of the Jingle"

Last year in the town just north of me, in Belleville, IL 3 kids got into a fight on a schoolbus. Video from a security of this fight, between two black children and a white child got leaked to our local news, it was a story, but then it died down.

Somehow the story made its way to Rush.

He opens his show talking about the news story and after explaining what happenned proclaimed "WELCOME TO OBAMA'S AMERICA"

....as if 3 kids getting in a fight has anything to do with the President.
He then went on to portray the story as a sign of things to come and relate to some kind of evidence that a black uprising is on the horizon.

How is this not the very definition of fear mongering? Just because millions of people listened to it didn't make it less rediculous.

I am in full agreement that it is within his rights to say this, and within the right of others to believe it, but its also within my rights to say that he is an outright tool.

What was the cause of the incident? Is it possible that the disagreement had anything to do with politics or Obama? And how about the punishment? Were the black kids let off as the New Black Panther members were in the case concerning voter intimidation in 2008? Or are you claiming that Rush was saying that black people were just going to go around and start beating up whites?

EDIT: OK, I just read the transcript of that very show. He says, "It's Obama's America, is it not?" He says that in reference to the specter of race hanging over every incident, and racism being heavily peddled by the MSM. In that particular part of the show, he's speaking of a Newsweek article about race in America that claimed that whites were born inherently racist. He's not at all making the claim "that a black uprising is on the horizon." He even explains that the chief of the Belleville police stated that their investigation had showed that this attack was not racially motivated.

He goes on to explain that criticism of Kanye West (this occurred right after the Taylor Swift incident) was being attributed to racism, as is much disagreement with Obama. So the whole thing was an issue of race being injected into situations where it was not involved and did not apply.

So, again, there was nothing about a "black uprising" and no "fear mongering." He was pointing out how ridiculous people are to needlessly shout "racism!"

We're up to 5 now :o

Though I don't blame you, 4 was forgettable.

So forgettable I forgot to even see it. Though I am interested in Christian Bale as John Connor, so I'm sure I'll catch it on cable if it's not worth paying to watch.

He can time travel, but not jump continuity :o

Rush may have not been fear mongering in that instance but he has done it before. Now Glenn Beck indirectly asserted after his Obama is a racist comment that white people were going to end up in concentration camps. Glenn Beck also asserted that good Christain conservatives need to fearful of the violent liberal lynch mobs... What about womman stomping Rand Paul supporters?

I'm not familiar with this Beck quote but I'd like to see it. Don't watch him so I don't really hear or see anything he does.

So a couple Rand Paul supporters have screws lose. There's people like that all over the country, in any political party, supporting any candidate. Crazy people do crazy things sometimes. She was held on the ground while people called, "Get the police." When you see the one man place his foot on her shoulder, and then press his foot down, you hear another Paul supporter admonishing him and telling him, "No," after which the man backs off. So you have a Rand Paul supporter actually standing up for the lady on the ground, not exhorting others to do harm to her. She was wearing a wig, likely meaning she was misrepresenting her intentions, and we can't see in the video what she was doing before the incident began.

Like I said, there are crazy folks out there on either side. A friend of mine was denied service in a Red Lobster because he was wearing a "Nobama" T-Shirt. The staff at the Red Lobster was all black, they sat him and his dining companions in the very back of the restaurant, in a room away from most of the other (black) diners, and no one would approach the table to serve them. They asked what the problem was and were told, "He can't eat in here wearing that shirt." When it was made known that one of his dining companions worked for the company, they were relocated to a proper dining area and the manager ensured they would receive excellent service. Which did occur, but only after the aforementioned elements. So now we're denying service to people if they wear a certain article of clothing?

By the way, the original discussion was about Rush Limbaugh. Don't know why you decided to jump in with Glenn Beck and Rand Paul, as that had nothing to do with the conversation taking place. But I guess you're trying to lump them all in the same group, so whatever.

ummm if I was "denied service" in a Red Lobster, I would probably just leave

^^^ that's called misdirection. First of all, your point was invalid. By citing that 'he has done that before' does not make you right in this instance. Cite the instances in which 'he has done that before' and you might have an argument. Otherwise it's misdirection.

And Glenn Beck /=/ Rush Limbaugh.

Endless Low Quality Shrimp,....Red Lobster is like the "fast food" of seafood, an insult to proper seafood restaurants everywhere

Agreed, but when you live in inland suburbia you take what you can get. My favorite seafood spots are off Jekyll Island and St Simons Island, where it's fresh every day. But $15.99 for massive amounts of scampi and fried shrimp? Yeah, that'll do.

By the way, my personal best is 91 shrimps. I'll try to beat that next time.

ugh....I hope you get a bad batch one day and spend a weekend crapping your brains out....Red Lobster and Olive Garden are garbage, GARBAGE I say :argh:

I agree. I hate Red Lobster and I never ever want to eat there.

Now Outback Steakhouse...yums.

I haven't been to a Red Lobster in years. I prefer the local seafood places here in the Southeast, though.

My girlfriend and I have been crabbing lately...haven't caught many, but hopefully when we figure out the perfect spot and bait we'll be pulling up some nice dungeness. I hope that, eventually, the crab pots pay for themselves. Other than that, free seafood! Woohoo!

Boat crabbing or Seinfeld crabbing/lobstering?

From piers and jetties....would that be Seinfeld-esque? I don't really watch that show.

I think this thread has officially run its course. :funny:

Feel free to talk about Red Lobster in the Political lounge. Rush Limbaugh in his respective thread. Glenn Beck in the FOX News thread. And racial issues in one of the racial discussion threads.

Thank you. :yay:

They make damn good cheese biscuits and their spuds are awesome as well....

Long John Silver is the fast food of seafood.

BUT, as you can see, I don't go to Red Lobster for the seafood....lol
