but Inception is far better in every category than shutter island which was a predictable outcome midway
 
I'm pissed that Inception didn't win for Cinematography. Yeah Avatar had amazing cinematography, but Inception was on another level.

While I think Inception was a near perfect film and better than Shutter Island I won't be biased with my love of the film.

I think Leo's performance in Shutter was better(still damn good in Inception though).
 
All of the winning films/characters make sense to me. Some of them, I might have selected differently, but I'm not too terribly disappointed..

Say what you will about Avatar, it is still a cinematic masterpiece in some way...

It's horse **** in my eyes that Avatar won for Best Picture...again. I enjoyed the movie and will be buying it on Blu-ray when they release the version with extras but I don't think it deserves Best Picture, at all.
 
Figs, dude, you didn't give Inception the one award it deserves, best Editing.
