I've been wanted to create a thread dedicated to the greatest 80's tv show, and probably one of my fondest, most memorable childhood memories...THE A TEAM series.

The one liners, the slow mo car flip crashes, the black van with the red strip down the side, the chemistry between the leads...all of this made this show exceptionally enjoyable to this day.

"In 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team."

" I love it when a plan comes together"
-------- Hannibal

I like this thread, as long as we can all agree that the last season (a la Frank Santana) never, ever happened.

Good times, loved the show and all the tight pants. :woot:

We are ssoooooo on the same page with that!

They changed the theme, no Colonel Decker and co, the CIA....what a ****ing disaster season 5 was...i have season 2 on dvd. I plan on getting season 3 and 4, which will round out my 3 fav seasons.

Which do you you guys prefer Tanya or Amy? Tanya was more annoying than Amy but looked hotter.

I never seen season 5, what happaned?

The A Team where captured by the Military, were tried and sentenced to death. They faked their own deaths (ingeniously i might add-i won't give away how) with the help of Murdock, a new guy that worked with Hannibal on his movies named Santana and and the CIA. The CIA told the A Team they would help clear them of all the charges once the military finds outs that they had fake there own death, only if the A Team works for the CIA for a few years...

I can't believe there aren't that many A Team fans out there.

You and me both. The show was crap. I'm sooo glad I was too young for it.

That's not what i meant lars573. And it's the fact that you weren't old enough during the time it ran on tv, to watch it, is why you don't appreciate it.

I read on the Yahoo movie page that they want Bruce Willis to play George Peppard's character, John "Hannibal" Smith, for the big screen adaption.

BLASPHEMY! :woot:. I can't believe they were so hard, and never killed ANYONE.

Face was easily the best.

That is no excuse, I'm only 21, and I love it.

BTW, my fave bit is alway the opening cedits, were Face walks past a Battlestar Galactica robot and the pricelss look on his face.

I watched it as a kid, but I was more into Knight Rider. I liked Mad Howling Murdock, thought he was the funniest one.

Last I read, Top Cow Productions (!) Had secured the film development rights, but that was a couple years ago.. I wish they'd come out with an updated version; I guess you could place their origins in the first Gulf War or something..

Who would you all cast in a big screen adaptation.
Here are my picks.
Hannibal-Mel Gibson
Face-Brenden Frasier
Murdock-David Arquette
B.A.-Michael Clarke Duncan

I always thought it was cool how they flipped a Jeep in every episode!!

^Yeah, that was classic A Team. My fav would have to be Hannibal. His cool wise cracks underpressure were priceless.

Who was you guys favorite MP pursuer; Col. Decker, Col Lynch or Col. Fulbright?

B.A.-Wesley Snipes (pre-Tax evasion) now Michael Clarke Duncan

It was before my time, but I AM a fan! My only regret is that, despite being a crack commando unit, they never killed anyone...

1) You should try READING a post before replying to it.

2) If you're not an A-Team fan, what the hell are you doing on a thread titled "The A-Team Fan Appreciation Thread"?

I was a HUGE fan of The A-Team when I was a kid. I had all four of the action figures. Unfortunately they only made the four (Hannibal, Face, BA, and Murdock), so they soon became very boring.

Anyway, the show was great fun. My favorite character was always BA. I always had a soft spot for the "tough guy with a heart of gold" type characters.

One of my favorite episodes was from either Season 3 or Season 4, when a developer was trying to force BA's mom out of her home and the A-Team came to the rescue. As a wrestling fan, I also really enjoyed the episodes that guest starred Hulk Hogan.

Tanya was definitely the hotter looking of the two, but I always kinda preferred Amy Allen.

Oh yeah, and I'm so on board with disliking Season 5.
