Can anyone tell me why this thread is in the Misc, Films forum? Tintin was a comic book, It should be in the Misc. Comics Films forum.

And why is Coming Soon covering the film instead of Superhero Hype?

They're dressed up as Thomson and Thompson. For laughs you know. As in humour.

Anyone know if Spielberg and Jackson are planning to do more than just three? Like, say, adapting all the books?

Either way, I'm very excited to see the news for this pour in, specifically how the film will look.

So far, I think it's just the two. What was the one Jackson was doing?

They haven't announced that yet, but my money is on The Seven Crystal Balls/Prisoners of the Sun.

I wonder if Tintin's publisher is planning on, say, releasing a few of the volumes into one big collection to coincide with the movie... I wouldnt mind it.

Scans from the 20th anniversary edition of EMPIRE magazine.

Quote from PJ, from that article:

''There's a little bit of climactic action we've devised ourselves, but if we're stealing things, we're stealing from Hergé himself, from his other stories. We don't do much of Red Rackham's Treasure [the direct sequel to The Secret of the Unicorn-and likely the body of the second film]- we're taking it almost up to the end of The Secret of the Unicorn.''

Huh? Does this mean that part 2 will be Red Rackham's Treasure? Or will they leave that out entirely? Because if they decide to make Rackham as the second one, then what will the third one be? You'd have a trilogy with the original-a sequel-a standalone story. And that doesn't sound really good.

We'll see.

Ever since Jackson lost weight, he's been looking much younger.

It scared the **** out of me when I first saw him without all the weight. I was like "what the **** happened to you?!"

Yeah, it was the AFI thing to Lucas and he popped up on screen sitting there. I didn't even know it was him until they said his name. By the time I heard it, they cut to someone else. I was like, "What the hell?!"

How interesting that Paramount is releasing it a week before New Line is supposed to release The Hobbit (if NL follows the mid-December release like the original LOTR trilogy). Isn't it counterproductive for Peter Jackson?

so strange. Also, Happy Feet 2 and The Bear and The Bow is being release in the same month too.

I'm sure the dates will switch around.

whait a minute. wowowowowowoooow

stop.........................time out

its 2009. next year it will be 2010. you mean 2010. not 2011 right?

Nope : he means 2011, like in "this movie is coming in december 2011"
