IDK... Hellion is up to date with his current 616 standing, and Carey's been writing Magneto and Rouge for awhile (and interviews have said that Gambit's going to re-enter that picture soon enough)... And Carey's never really dealt with the Alt-Realities (that I can remember, anyway).

I feel like there are definitely going to be 616 characters present here. Maybe the poster who mentioned it being from a "potential future" is right?

A potential future does seem rather possible. If Nightmare is an altered Pixie, she does look a lot more developed than the current young version, that she could be older. Hellion too. And if Revenant is Hope and not Jean, than she's definitely older looking as well.

Well in the article Ketchum clearly stated that Revenant was not Hope and that Basilisk was Cyclops.
The question now is who is X--Xavier or Logan?

And why does Basilisk and Gambit look like they could be related. That would be awesome. I think Age of X will be a hit like AoA and House of M (the latter I didn't care for much). I was kind of hoping this would have been a trilogy of sorts--AoA-What if Apocalypse's vision won out, H of M-What if Magneto's dream was fulfilled, and AoX-What if Xavier's dream was fulfilled, but I can live with this version.

Well there was also Gambit's never quite completely explained connection to Sinister (who, as we know, loved the Summers clan).

But, needless to say, there've been more than enough Summers family reveals in X-History.

That said, they have teased Gambit's past (and ancestry) in recent years and haven't delivered anything substantial yet.

Ok, so who else do we have in this now? Colossus, Jubilee, Chamber (yay!), Avalanche, Namor, and Storm. I'm guessing that's Iceman also in the back next to Magneto. Possibly Cypher next to Namor? And maybe Kitty next to Storm? Who could the girl with the pink hair in the front with the double daggers be?

Pink girl with the daggers could be Psylocke? Maybe that coloring is intended to be more lavender as her original British bodyw as often colored with. Still a bit light though.

Psylocke's a good guess, since I noticed she's got what looks like butterfly earrings on, which is what her little psy-aura is shaped as.

As much as I'd like Cyclops to be in it and perhaps resolve if Gambit is his brother I can't see them putting him in that awful costume (Rogue's is equally hideous).

I also don't remember Scott having a hightop..his hair is usually straight not a weird fro/wave,the color is off there too I'm thinking it could be the neanderthal from one of hope's 5 lights...or shatterstar??

Girl with Purple hair I'm going for Pixie who has puple hair butterfly wings and a soul dagger in 616.Yes this one has 2 but this is a different world so I'd say Pixie but it could possibly be Psylocke.

That mask makes him look like Maverick from Team X.

Hmmm, I liked the prospect of this.

But now Carey confirmed that- big surprise!- Rogue is the protagonist.
So now i don't know, I can't take any more of his Rogue fanfics

Be prepared to be unhappy. I'm already 70/30 in favor of not even bothering with Age of X now. And even more inclined to finally pack up shop and leave the X-Books for greener pastures.
