The Akinator can guess ANY character

Okay, I just tried Jake Sisko, and it got him in one guess. I got a strangely specific round of questions, though. They wanted to know if he was from Star Trek and if he played baseball.

It's taking him forever to get Arseface from Preacher.

You get those two questions and it really narrows it down to three people, and all of them have the last name of Sisko, thanks to Gene Rodenberry thinking that a sign of being a more enlightened species was baseball no longer being propular, the jerk. :o

DS9 always struck me as a little less pretentious than the previous two Star Treks, especially TNG. Whenever the TNG crew wanted to relax, they held private classical music concerts for one another and used the Holodeck to reenact classic literature. The DS9 crew played baseball and listened to Vegas-style lounge singers.

Not to mention, Miles and Julian's use of the Holosuites was much more up front about what it was, namely LARPing. They weren't reenacting classic cultural pieces, like you said, they were just dicking around in costumes.

From what I can tell, besides wicked obscure characters, it gets stumped by characters that underwent a lot of drastic character development, and characters that are technically alternate continuity versions of a popular character but are distinct and different enough that they're basically a new character with the same backstory.

I had Kane Hodder and it guessed Kevin Bacon, then Edward Norton, then Tobin Bell. :oldrazz:

But it got Capt. Rhodes and Bub from Day of the Dead right.

It has a hard time with the characters from the Team Starkid Harry Potter musicals. It can tell the difference between Book Dracop and Musical Draco, but not so much with the others.

I was thinking of Kevin from Home Alone...got it on the 10th try.

This thing stumped me. I went with The Miz, and I figured it was gonna catch me after it asked me if my character was ever part of WWE. But then it started asking me if the player ever played badminton, or was a Half Life character so I thought I stumped it. But no, it got it right, haha

Okay - I did stump it on one. I went with Alistair from Dragon Age - it even asked me if the character was created by BioWare, and I said yes, but it ended up giving me Link from Legend of Zelda.

The hell? The thing told me it has to "wake up" and to try again in a few minutes.

Bastard got Mumm-ra from the Thundercats right at 40 questions.

I like this newer version that shows the picture, that's kinda cool

I hate this thing.

In no particular order it got: Anton Chigurh, X-23, Ben Bailey from cash cab, River Tam, Desmond Hume, Lincoln, Harley Quinn, Shannon from the book Invisible Monsters, Joey Cape from the band Lagwagon, Phillip Rivers, Roseanne, Snookie, Deadpool, Cameron from the sarah connor chronicles, Sylar, Charlie from Its always sunny, Michael Madsen, Lexi Belle, Winston from Ghostbusters, John Marsten, Daken, Walter from the big lebowski, and a Gremlin.

The only thing I stumped it on was Lizzy Caplans character from the show Party Down. Boom.

I made him fail a few times, even with the several times of "More Questions", until it gave up and officially asked "New Game?"

It was fun to see it fail the first 3 times, later when I needed it to get my answers it kept mistaking characters

It got Boxer from Animal Farm in 3 guesses. I'm mad/ shocked.
*edit* Elie Wiesel in 2.

It took it three tries to get Iron Man. First he guessed Starman and then this black martial artist and finally Iron Man. It guessed Zooey Deschanel pretty easily though.:wow:

It got Rick Astley after 28 questions. It first thought it was Weird Al.

It couldn't guess Liz Shaw from Doctor Who. It guessed Sarah Jane Smith, Donna Noble, and Harriet Jones from the same show.

I taught 3 obscure Jewish figures, plus Devil Dinosaur.
