The All-Encompassing 2025 Holiday Thread

These are the essentials, must-watches, there are others, built around these....

In the build-up to the Christmas season....Box of Delights, 6 episodes, 1 each week as was first broadcast, back in 1984, with watching the last episode on Christmas Eve, Albert Finney's Scrooge, a few days before, usually a week before to wrap presents to.

Re-watches of the LOTR Extended Editions & Harry Potter Series.

Christmas Eve - Its a Wonderful Life at 4 pm, (the prep stops to watch this), followed by The Snowman then Gremlins, late night watch before bed with Bridget Jones (the first one) fitted in around this.

Christmas Day - Die Hard at some point during the day / Arthur Christmas

Boxing Day - The Great Escape

New Years Eve - When Harry Met Sally

The Christmas days in-between will include The Holiday, Edward Scissorhands, The Shop Around the Corner, The Muppet Christmas Carol, The Bishop's Wife, Scrooged, Santa Claus : The Movie.

Am open to any suggestions, others have of new ones to try or add to these choices.....

We usually put up the tree on Black Friday and we have these playing as we do it --

The man who invented Christmas
A Christmas carol ( the Jim Carey Disney one)

Sometime later I try to get Krampus on and Die Hard. :)
