Awesome milestone right there! Such a legacy

You just know banderas has one of these just encased in glass in his house.

That is sweet.....one day I will win the lottery....and it will be mine.

I was curious and very interested until I read modern day and a female Zorro. Now I'm completely turned off.

I'm not against female leads but Zorro means a lot to me and this isn't my zorro.

There has already been a female Zorro "type" in the syndicated TV series QUEEN OF SWORDS Queen of Swords (TV Series 2000–2001) - IMDb ....and I'll find it hard to see them using swords in a modern day setting (it worked with the HIGHLANDER series because all the Immortals used swords) because not too many people walk around with them these days....and what would be the point of doing Zorro without swords?

So they're making a Arrow and Batwoman hybrid.

Never saw that one. I grew up with..

Vintage Mark of Zorro films
Guy Williams Zorro
Zorro: The New World
Mask of Zorro and Legend of Zorro
Zorro comics
Generation Z animated series
Spanish soap opera on Telemundo

So to me, it has to be Old California and Diego De La Vega. Generation Z was a Batman Beyond type show and so maybe they could have done that. Antonio Banderas as Alejandro took over the mantle from Diego but it was still at least very Zorro.

I know there has been stuff with different Zorros but still. I just worry it'll become a show like BatWoman

I don't see the point of placing the reboot in a modern setting. A female Zorro I've come to sort of accept since the news came out, but a big part of the character is the setting and time period. You place it in modern times and it no longer stands out from any other property.

I don't know, I'm getting bad vibes that this will turn out like that recent "Robin Hood" movie.

Why are they calling it "female Zorro?"

Shouldn't it be "Zorra"?
