The Amazing Spider-Man The Amazing Nitpick Thread

Seriously? A hate thread already? How about we watch the movie first people?

I agree, it's WAAY to early for this thread. Let's at least wait until we see the movie before nit picking it. At this point you guys are nit picking a trailer lol.

These are just nitpiks the out and out hate is reserved for the actual movie.

By that logic you shouldn't be able to love what you've seen so far...because you have to wait for the actual movie.

It works both ways or not at all.

One minor nitpick I have is with Captain Stacy. I don't really care for him disliking Spidey. I'm sure he'll change his ways and become the Spidey supporter and father figure we all know and love but for now...I'm kinda seeing a less angry Jonah. We'll see how this plays out; I would have prefered it had Capt. Stacy been neutral about Spidey at first instead.
I didn't read a lot of the comics, but did Captain Stacy started out disliking Spider-Man?

No. In the comics, Captain Stacy always supported Spider-Man.

Mainly because, he knew the Peter was Spider-Man. Though, Peter didn't know that until Stacy's dying moments when he told him to take care of Gwen.

Oh, okay. That's what I thought. But I wasn't sure. So thanks for the clarification.

I agree.

From his stance though, I can see why the cops would be hating on vigilantes in general.

Especially if Spidey starts out reckless.

No offense, but when you go around hating everything about a movie, I don't think people will respect your opinion.

When you say some things that look good, and then point out some negatives, it'll make ya not look like a fanboy.

Just sayin'.

For example:
Positives: 3D is trailer looks very promising.
Andrew Garfield is a very authentic actor.
Like the idea of Parent's backstory.
Spider-Man will wise-crack.
Marc Webb is using 3D as an artform.

Negatives:
Spider-sneakers. Meh.
Lizard. Will he look stupid when he talks?
No JJJ. Though I can see why. He'd be a waste if Stacy is gunning for Spidey.

See?

webhead731 has said some positive things about The Amazing Spider-Man. I'll give credit when it's due; he hasn't been all negative.

Just saying.

Like what?

This goes for a lot of people. Saying one positive thing and then spewing out a bunch of random negative BS just doesn't really garner respect from some people. :/

He's said many times that he likes the cast of the film as well as the addition of the Lizard, except he doesn't like the look of the Lizard. And that's more positive than I've heard of a lot of complete bashers.

LOL!

You're just a brat and a super-fanboy who would jump at anyone who has a different opinion, going full-defense and start spewing rubbish you know nothing about. To top that off you actually tried to talk about how respect works. So LOL! for the second time!

You may already be lost here but I'll help ya buddy. Since you haven't noticed, this is a nitpick thread. Therefore, one should expect mostly that in here.

Just to put your fanboyish rage at a little ease, aside my few nitpicks here and there, the movie looks brilliant and very promising so far.

No snout
So far it seems to be the immortal nitpick, but I share it

And as much to my dismay, it's natural to have a young enthusiast with a reckless beginning

 Thanks for the attack.

Did I not just express nitpicks about the film?
