cool! :) that's about what I want to see if they ever do the black costume story

Thanks. I was very disappointed about the Raimi Suit back then.
I always thought the Black suit would look great in life action

Looks great!

However, my preference would be zero web outlining. Even the outline of the white lens would be gone. Completely black with a tint of blue/purple in the light with the big horizontal white spider logo in the middle and white patches on the tops of his hands. Organic webbing for that obviously.

I really like the look though, well done sir.

I remember behind the scenes test pics of SM3. They did indeed try the glassy, textureless black costume with giant white emblem. I think that manip looks great. These movie quality costumes generally benefit from a bit of texture or design that breaks the suit up a bit.

As far as the purple tint goes- that's the same reason that Batmans cape/cowl is given the blue highlight in the comics, it's the black reflecting the light, because that is oftentimes more visually dynamic than just flat black. Same with the symbiote suit. It's a comic book affectation that I'm not sure would work in a film.

Hey Joe, best I can find at the moment:

Thanks! Everything with that looks fine to me from the neck down. Imagine TASM 2's eyes on that suit? I think it'd look incredible. It'd be hard to translate, and they'd have to implement tons of CGI to make the costume look good in certain lightings. Totally worth it though.

Personally, I love the glossy black, "wet" look. It makes the costume appear more "alien" to me. Along with a similar, modified texture and weblines (to differentiate it from the normal costume), I think it'd look great. I was not a fan of the black, matte version of the classic Spidey suit in SM3. I think that the manip above would be a great direction to go in.

This! ^

The "wet" look making it look more "alien" is exactly what I want. Make the suit look alive! The way they attempted to add life to it in SM3 was meh. I want it darker this time around.

I had someone make a skin mod for me, for the Amazing Spider-Man, and I think Raimi's Symbiote concept, would look great applied with the brick pattern, instead of just being all smooth.

Speaking of brick patterns..

Now I know TASM started something a bit new with the..was it a polygon pattern? And then TASM2 uses the same brick pattern (at least in the red fabrics) as the Raimi series as homage, but I came across some fan art on Instagram the other day, and it had a micro pattern, one even smaller than we've gotten before and it looked really cool.

My point is, is that I think they should branch out to other pattern shapes, and maybe play around with it (shrink it, etc) to see what looks cool. I am not at all complaining about the new suit (love it), but though so much more new stuff can be done.

Like take a look at the MOS suit. It's like a chain link pattern and it looks real cool imo.

^ Indeed! There are endless possibilities. I think they should've experimented a bit more.

If only I can find that photo (would be like a needle in a haystack) to show. It was like polygons, but really small. Like little mini ones.
Hm. Maybe TASM3 or 4.

That looks amazing! excluding the eyes, I would love to see that in a movie.

If they eyes were TASM 2 eyes and the spider was more white instead of silver, this would be the perfect symbiote costume! :woot:

I actually like the silver spider. It gives it some dimension.

I got bored. :oldrazz:
