Beenox said the most it has in common with the movies is the costumes, and the first movie being launch base
Movie sequels and games are now in their own separate realms

So basically TASM1: the game spins out out of the movie and creates an alternate timeline? I feel like it would have just made more sense to make games that aren't tied into the movies at all, but whatever. It just has to be a good game.

Maybe they just really wanted an excuse to model that glorious Spidey suit. lol

I'm sure it will.

Im just worried that it will all be edited too much to the point of not showing the natural flow of it in-game. Most trailers for the first game are guilty of this.

i hope that the web swinging isnt automated but if it is they better put more animations variations while swinging..

It would be really cool if they improved Web rush, if it's even coming back.
Instead of it sorta making you.....um fly? (Seriously you could web rush into the open sky) The system should be used as a web zip, you would web zip if you tapped the button but you could still hold it down to target in first person mode, it would make web zipping look a little more fluid, kinda like an improved version of the web zip in the old PC/PS1 games.

I really hope the webswinging looks as good as it sounds. I hope it doesn't look like the web is pulling Spider-man like a rag doll.

Ah ok, well......that's odd..is it really a game based on the movie any more then?

It's a sequel to a game made as a sequel to the movie, its own thing, not related to the filmed sequels
Still tie in to the first Webb film

They were obliged to make a movie licensed game, and now that the license for straight up comic adaption is taken out of their hands, they can't make one

The game is based on the first game and only takes cues from the 2nd movies story (probably Electro and Harry as villains, maybe mech rhino I don't know).

It probably retells the movies story in its own way without putting too much focus on it.
