Well the POSSIBILITY of proper webswinging. I'm not holding my breath.

The box art is actually pretty neat. Now all we need is a GOOD game!

Beenox is getting sassy with their Q&A:

The person was asking for a more specific release date, and Beenox responded with the time frame for which months make up the Spring season. It's a little snarky, or at least pretty rude.

A nice answer would have been, "We don't have an official release date yet, but we will let you know soon."

Nah, it was hilarious. I'm pretty sure they didn't mean to be rude, I think they were trying to be as specific as possible because they've been saying "no release date" for a while now.

Or it was, like I said, sarcastic. Which is still funny.

I wonder if Beenox looked that up just before answering.

^^The important questions at hand, people.

I wonder if the release date is 17th April since that's the date set on the Activision website for the game. Would make sense since the movie is coming out 17th April here and the first one released before the movie did.

The trailer should showcase the new mechanics. I also think it's very unlikely Garfield voiced this one.

so how many generic robots will we have to fight this time?

No more robots.....please. It makes the game feel cheap and unoriginal. More thugs and goons and of course villains. I don't mind one or two robots. Just try not to make them the majority of the enemies.

I was turned off by the idea at first, but when I played it, I enjoyed it. Definitely generic. They were supposed to be spider-slayers if I remember correctly, right?

I didn't think of this 'till just now. The cover shows Spidey yo-yo-ing from a bridge. Does that hint that we will be able to go to Queens? I mean why put that on the cover if we can't go across a bridge without Spidey swinging away and the game putting us back in Manhattan. I really hope Beenox got the city right this time, because the last game felt quite small for New York whereas Spider-man 2's New York felt really big.

I think so, but the game never really called them Spider Slayers. The big ones that you had to chase and land on were called Spider Slayers.

Dude, that'd be freakin' awesome.

Wouldn't get my hopes up too high, though.

Those flying Hunter robot battles in the city were some of the best stuff to come out of ASM. And actually the two robot boss battles were the best ones of the boss fights imo.

Do you guys really think that in this franchise, which is heavily based around Oscorp, that we won't be fighting robots throughout the entire game? It's almost guaranteed. They don't have enough depth to otherwise satisfy our fighting needs without throwing a gigantic mechanical monster at us from time to time.

I think it is inevitable in this game with Ultimate Rhino being in the movie.
