Best thing about the trailer is that, regardless of how good or bad it looks, we finally have something to talk about.
Haha your right about that.

so, hypothetically speaking, if they butcher the uncle ben's killer storyline, and have him be cletus kassidy or a man who turns into a giant bear in a full moon, that is specific only to the game universe, and does not say anything about the movie canon, right?

Uncle Ben's killer seemed a little bit too calm in TASM1 to be Cletus Cassidy.
it's just, tasm's game universe is meant to follow the canon of tasm1, up to the end of the movie. everything in tasm1 game was not canon, and tasm2 is even more separate.
so, if they touch on the killer's identity, then wouldn't it have to be canonical to the first movie, as it is resolving something that is canonical?
uncle ben's killer was always person X, and the game universe treats the first movie as canon, so it doesn't follow that his killer could be person Y in the tasm2 game.
i'm struggling to make a coherent post here, but i hope you can see where i am coming from. having kraven show up, and cross species rhino, is all well and good, because they never appeared in the first movie, but uncle ben's killer did.
if they change his identity, then the game universe never followed tasm1's canon, as uncle ben's killer was part of the latter.
I think each video game adaption of the Raimi films were just their own stand-alone thing, right? I don't think they were considered part of a video game universe or anything.gwen had never swung with spider-man in the tasm1 game, so all the more reason to treat these games as completely separate.

Hehe that's funny. Did Peter Parker appear in TASM1: The Game, or was it just as Spider-Man?Anybody notice how in the trailer, Peter was dressed as TASM1 Peter? Haha
