Excellent post spider-man95. Your absolutely right.

A lot of people are complaining about the more exaggerated, cartoon-like webbing. I honestly prefer that. For a film, not so much, but for a game, it fits the style. It adds more character and style, and it just gives off a flair that suits the comic book inspired source material and visuals.

I don't think it looks that cartoony to be honest. I don't think we've seen enough of it in motion. But if it does I can agree with ya.

Gosh I love the bits were we see actual gameplay of the web swinging in the trailer.

The part at 20 seconds in and the shot at 47 seconds are awesome! Especially the shot at 0:47, that really shows the camera angle we will have when web swinging and it's awesome, even if it only lasts a millisecond. It looks like Spidey will move really fluid and acrobatic when he lets go of his web or is about to shoot one. The animation is a big improvement from the last game. By that I mean, the last game didn't have to think about webs sticking to buildings so it could easily do the same animations for the web swinging fluidly. But to make it look this smooth in a game that has proper web swinging is just awesome to see. Definitely one of the highlights of this trailer for me.

Same for me. I was really let down by the free roam last game. So I'm hoping its improved in this one, and so far from what I was able to see of it, it's looking better.

Just being able to swing from buildings will be a vast improvement. The animations are the icing on the cake. Doing different things while web swinging like tricks would be the cherry!

I'll be honest, I don't feel like buying the game on day one this time. I'm hoping for the best, but the first game wasn't all that much after the hype wore off for me.

Combat moves look exactly the same and I'm afraid the swinging will still feel automated and... fake. It's good the webbing attaches to buildings, but I'm still wary of Beenox way of doing things. I'm afraid they'll just find a way around it to be lazy and deliver the same feeling of cheapness I had experienced with the first game... whoever played it will know what I'm talking about. It felt like flying and jumping around, without any sense of control.
I don't want them to hold my hand all the way through the game, I want to feel like I actually have control over Spidey's movements. I don't want to watch a long sequence of combos and then be like "Can I play now?"
That detaches players from the experience and makes them feel bored faster.

Graphics don't mean all that much to me. I'm sure it's going to look ok as they work on it and polish, story sounds interesting. But gameplay is essential. Spidey needs to be able to jump, roll, move acrobatically around the enemies, without any assistance. Stating the game is more about swinging than jumping makes me wonder, what are they thinking? I noticed they have the tendency to over-use the webs in their games. That was especially evident with the web-rush system, he'd use webs even when he could simply jump a little farther ahead and save some web fluid.
Spidey is definetely NOT all about webs and swinging. Agility is there for a reason. Super-strenght is there for a reson. Spider-sense is there for a reason (dodging bullets and attacks should be a priority. The first game didn't allow you to do that and that was absurd. On the highest difficulty you're forced to spam web-rush in order to overcome some enemies. That, or they'd fill you dead with bullets) They should focus on all of his abilities IMO, and less on webbing over-kill.

The majority of the footage is cutscenes. They're pulling a COD move. What's next, Jonah Hill in the streets of NYC in red and blue spandex?

The Graphics look fine to me. A PS3 should be able to handle that, so I think it will look good on that one. I don't think it looks that bad at all. If the gameplay is fun and the story is great, I'm very satisfied.

Once again, I LOVE that Kraven has a major role.

I don't like gimmicky things like the black web stuff.

EDIT: I'd like if it ends up revealing that Kraven trained Spider-Man just to have him be a worthy opponent and a challenge to kill, or something like that. Because he wants the ultimate trophy. And for Spider-Man, he's on the hunt for Uncle Ben's killer, but ends up realising that revenge won't lead to anything better, it won't change the past.

Ok I'll bite. Who is he and why shoud we care?

We don't. Random kids with opinions. I'm pretty sure that one of the Spidey experts on YT was a small kid that kept spamming Beenox about TASM1 2 years ago.

Who wants to pitch in to hire a professional to find out where R.I.M has been and get him back on these boards?

It's not that there something special, but they have a pretty big fallowing on YouTube, and people are interested in hearing their opinions That's all.

Venom does have some good opinions but in that video.....jesus it's like he got controlled by the dark side or something.

RIM is pretty busy at his university and work. He attended an IM3 press junket in the UK.

 Glad to hear someone being positive about this game.

I don't think the "black web stuff" is to do with the menace thing, I think it's just lighting issues. But if it is to do with the morality system, eh whatever doesn't bother me as I will play as a hero and not be a lazy Spider-man.

Web swinging is tiring, I'll take the subway.

I really don't think the lighting is making the web look black. I think it has something to do with the hero or menace.

But SevenWebheads for example have lots of stupid theories in his videos. Like "That dude seems to actually be Uncle Ben's killer!" about a random thug Spidey punches. It's even one of those thugs you see "clones" of, I mean come on!
