That's true. But that only adds to the disappointment IMO. Spider-Man was easily dominating the video game market until Rocksteady came along.

Rocksteady changed the game, that's for sure. And I'm actually happy for that, because hopefully Disney will wake up and start taking game making seriously. God knows they never did so far.

At this point, I'll take Disney over Activision. Especially since it's likely they'll sell the rights to another (better) publisher.

Hopefully not Sega. I daydream with Disney buying Naughty Dog, that'd be a perfect marriage.

True true. But then the model looks totally different in still screenshots. It's so confusing.

The screenshot with him upside down is from the trailer, though, so I'm totally happy.

The official screen shots, however; yeah, the colors on the suit there, look completely different than in the trailers.

Rocksteady took all the ingredients that the Batman franchise provided, put them together, and crafted a love letter to something they cared a lot about for all of us to enjoy. However, I would argue that Spider-Man is even more tailored made for an epic video game than Batman and I love the Batman: Arkham series.

We just need the proper chef in the kitchen to put all the ingredients together. I think the folks at Beenox do care about the character, but Activison just wants to milk the cow without giving it any care at all. Disney and Marvel getting the rights back would be the best thing at this point.

It feels like under Activision's watch -toward the beginning- they cared a bit more. Their first licensed Spidey game was the PS1 game in 2000 and that was a commercial and critical hit with everybody. It was a game that you could tell the folks at Neversoft really cared to craft, they stuck in a lot of extra things to do and appreciate. The next big time it feels like a big step was made under their watch was with Spidey 2 in 2004. I don't think there's been any real substantial progress since then, just hovering around safe areas.

I'd argue that even with all the flack they get, Beenox and Activision have been constantly delivering the best movie tie in video games in the market. God knows that those Batman tie in games are nothing next to either the Arkham or the Activision Spidey games.
Definitely the best movie tie-ins, even that Transformers 2 game was praised, despite the crappy movie it carries its name

I know, man. I'm still pissed about the closure of LucasArts :argh:

So where is the supposed gameplay trailer for B:AK? Was it the lame behind the scenes video showing literally no gameplay of B:AK / just B:AC gameplay scenes?

Just a website reported that, and they contradicted it in a following update minutes after, so yeah.

No gameplay until E3, unless GameInformer' several updates on the game contains some gameplay.

Yeah man. Idk.....I hope the gameplay trailer shows more consistency.

Yeah that's precisely why I'm not so eager to see what Disney does with the Marvel gaming rights. Think about it: they've got the rights for BOTH most of the Marvel Heroes (Avengers and X-Men included I'd guess) AND the Star Wars franchise. They killed Lucas Arts and then what?

Nothing happened. Nothing happened at all. The sad truth is that unlike Warner, Disney does a very poor job with their video game rights, and it's not like they've been doing great things with their movie tie in games as well. Pirates of the Caribbean comes to mind and good God, that was awful.

They licensed the Star Wars franchise to EA... so...

So, what are you guys hoping to see specifically from this video?

That's the only thing I need to see.

Web swinging is the main thing and also how the game looks since the trailer and screenshots looked different.

I think they should release one video every week about something different like suit abilities, combat, web swinging, maybe something about the story and stuff like that, then on the last week release another proper trailer. Because I don't think many people will preorder or buy it on day one if they barely know anything about it.
