I'm fine with that, lets wait for new footage/information then.

Can do my man, you know I am salivating for more. Been watching the gameplay clips w/ interview cropped out on repeat since yesterday. I need this in my veins. :woot:

I asked Beenox on Facebook if they could tell us what specific day we'll get the walkthrough this coming week.

I'm not sure if they have multiple web disarm animations but tbh the one they show in the gameplay is very sloppy. The ai's animation barely registers that the gun is taken away(his head is down...wth) and Spidey barely registers that he even took the gun. Where is Spiderman's personality in his body movements? He's so stiff in the gameplay. He literally has NO personality whatsoever. Him just saying "It hurts me more than it hurts you" is not the same as seeing him use his body to convey his personality. Does anyone understand what I'm saying?? And that web blast thing they added looks bad too. Why are his wrists glowing? And they were too lazy to change the charge animation from Shattered Dimensions???? Oh and I looked and there isn't ONE HINT of webbing on the big guy in the video. If it's web based WHERE does the webbing go????? WTH! I am so tired of them and their weird design choices. It's like the deliberately do things different just to be different.

And on another note I didn't see ONE manual web-line in the gameplay. They mix webbing into the melee. It's the stupidest thing I've ever seen. That was my issue with the first game : Automated gameplay. Web rush was automated. Combat was basically automated(Don't get me wrong I enjoyed it a lot more than previous games because I could feel each hit in the controller). Picking up machines and throwing them? Automated! Webswinging? Automated! I DO NOT understand the choices they make with these games. That's my biggest gripe with Beenox. I like them but there's always some weird choice they make that throws me off.

I hope the walkthrough really sheds some light on how the gameplay has improved and the swinging but by watching that video I'm afraid this game might be a rehash of the first game with another coat of paint. That's what I liked about the Arkham Games. If I fire a batarang I do so manually! The game doesn't do it for me. I want to BE Spiderman! Not watch them play the game for me!

Things I hope they show in the walkthrough:

1.Manually web lines - this should be a given.
2.Web tie up
3.Web Yank
4.Web spin( fires web line and the player uses the analog to spin the opponent around)
5.Webswinging - I would like to see if he has more animations and I want to see the momentum in action.(Speed blur)
6.Combat Upgrades - I want to take part in the action....not watch it all happen with the click of one button. Or two.....
7.Acrobatics - if I see Spiderman WALK around one more time.
8.Web Rush - I hope they added more animations and have given us the ability to upgrade it in a better way. I don't want to spend the entire match in web rush mode. Sm2's spider sense was vastly more superior imo.
9.Stealth gameplay - let's be honest. Would it be more fun to press on button to do stealth or would it be better if I could fire the web line myself and then press melee myself. Why do it for me?

I have high hopes for this game but like I said before I won't be buying day one if the issues from the first game aren't addressed.

Dude calm down. It's a movie game, limited budget means some things will be the same including animations. It sounds like you had way too many expectations for this game.

Remember when you we agreed to keep our expectations down? Well it sounds like you didn't because ever since that footage came out you've done nothing but complain about how things weren't the way you imagined them to be. It was obvious from the first trailer that the animations and combat would look similar.

Come on man, you can't compare Arkham to this game...Arkham has a much bigger budget and time frame to work with. Oh and also, the shock blast is not meant to be webbing, that's why you can't see webs, it's a seismic blast you acquire from probably Shocker.

Actually we will man. They said so last week. :cwink:

This was from Friday when Beenox shared the interview with gameplay:

From a Facebook user called Jack

"Is this the Demo Walkthrough Video or is that yet to be uploaded?"

Beenox: "No, Jack, the developer walkthrough will feature differrent footage next week."

Can I just say something? Why is it every time I bring up real concerns for the game you have something to say? I mean I know it's a forum but I am a consumer just like everyone else. I'm also a spider-fan so that means I've been playing Spiderman games for a long time. My expectations ARE down. However, I have some things that I would like them to fix in order for me to enjoy the game better. They aren't doing me a favor by making the game. I pay them. I am a consumer. Everything I highlighted should be apart of the gameplay already. They are really simple additions that for most players are no brainers.

I'm complaining if I observe a video they posted and make observations? And it was obvious that the gameplay was the same from the trailer? Even though they said that they redid the gameplay in the press release? Like dude wth? I can say what I want. Stop picking everything I say apart.

Sometimes you take my posts like I'm attacking Beenox or as if I said something so far fetched that they couldn't possibly add. These are my observations. These are my real concerns. Just because I use punctuation doesn't mean I am literally angry and that I want to kill Beenox because they didn't add something that I feel should be common sense. I'm not making judgement's I'm making observations. That's all I can do. That's the main reason why I believed you worked for them or Activision. I'm entitled to how I feel. I earned it. I love Spider-man. I love to play as Spider-man. I am very optimistic and I try to be positive about everything. But I have eyes. And I'm entitled to use them in combination with my own brain. Don't tell me how to feel man.

As for Arkham. Dude I can't compare it to Arkham titles??? I didn't mention anything GROUNDBREAKING. If you want to fire a batarang you press R1. If you want to fire a grappling hook you press that command. The point that you missed was I hope that the mechanics aren't automatic like the first game. So it's wrong to ask for manual web-lines? Don't tell me....The budget doesn't cover that and I should just be grateful that I'm getting a game in the first place?

Keeping expectations low doesn't mean I can't voice my observations or that I'm not entitled to my own opinion. My expectations are still low and I would not be surprised if the things I would like fixed for this game aren't in. If they aren't I won't be buying it at full price. That's my reality. That's how I feel. And I'm not arguing with you but I am merely responding to your post about my post. There's a difference. You are entitled to feel what you want but I know what I am looking for in a Spiderman game regardless if it's a movie title or not. A regular web-line is not a far-fetched request bro.

Not sure what your point is once again. He said no footage this week....I said no they said that we would be getting it THIS WEEK. Next week = this week as per their comment.

Never said you were wrong. You're perfectly untitled your opinion. I agree with you, I want a Spider-man game like you described but I'm not attacking you just to attack you wtf? So I can't disagree with you...ever?

I just think you're asking for too much from a movie game with a limited budget and time frame that's all. You're complaining about the same animations when tons of games do this, even Arkham.

Seriously..I'm not disagreeing with you to annoy you... I've agreed with you plenty of times that there are legit concerns we both have with this game. I don't like the automated stuff either but we don't know how automated the game is yet. We've barely seen enough to justify attacking it already.

Can I ask you something? Why do you think I like to personally attack you? I don't. It's just coincidence.

Oh ok, well that was confusing since we're still in this week not next yet. See how I got confused?

You can disagree all you want. But don't call me a complainer. I'm making educated guesses and observations. I said the combat looks the same because from my understanding they said they reworked it. So when I see the gameplay footage and see it looks vastly similar I'm wondering why that is?

I'm not attacking it if I make an observation. I didn't say the combat is automated based solely off the footage shown. I said I hope that they fixed that from the first game and gave us more freedom to do more. That's what I said. There's a difference between an attack and an observation. It's like you can't tell the difference. Just like there's a difference between disagreeing with someone and insinuating that they are a complainer if they don't agree with your viewpoint.

Anyway...as I mentioned before I'm looking forward to the walkthrough and I hope(something I say a lot if you notice) that there's more to the game than what they have showed us.

Technically Sunday begins the new week, so this week is the week we get the video. Not trying to be rude, I'm just excited xD

Oh I realize that. I'm excited because the new week is here now, which my mind tells me then that it's soon, even if it weren't till Friday, my mind would still be excited

Ok man. Look I don't want to get into an argument ok. I respect your opinion and I respect that you want what's best for this game and future Spider-man games. I'll leave it at that. Once again, I'm sorry if this game isn't living up to your expectations at the moment and I hope it does eventually. Call me an idiot for thinking this if you like but I'm just happy we're getting something that looks at least this decent given the track record for Marvel games recently.

Of course! It's this week yay!!! :woot: We've heard it from Beenox themselves and not from some email saying "maybe next week". I'm excited just because it's definite now.

I appreciate the apology. And I respect your opinion as well. And to touch on what you said I think that this game looks pretty good for a movie game graphically.
