I've been playing the game for a good two hours now and it's BRILLIANT. Honestly the best Gameloft game I've ever played. It's quite addictive and I feel I have a better glimpse of how the "Hero or Menace" system will play out in the TASM2 tie in game.

Oh well it's very late and I'm going to travel tomorrow, probably getting to see TWS again since I can't see TASM2 until May.

Interesting. I like the look. His helmet reminds me of a bloated Iron Man, especially the chin area.

And why is Mysterio blasting his crotch.

Again this is where I get my little Daft Punk Guy De Manuel idea from. I love this take on Mysterio's very stylish.

Activision did not give up the rights. Their contract expired. This is not an isolated occurrence. Konami and Capcom have also lost the Marvel license. The popular consensus is that Marvel is consolidating its properties and getting them back under their auspices rather than spread among a bevy of third-parties. Once the contracts expired, Marvel seems to have not offered any renewal options.

I just downloaded the title based on your post. I own the first game (acquired with free Google Play credit. I rarely pay out of pocket now that I earn free credit and wait for sales) after buying it again for my LG Optimus G. The first game ran well enough on my old iPhone 4 and iPad 2, but the game ran like garbage on my vastly superior Optimus G. So here is hoping that ASM2 runs as advertised rather than being a disappointment.

I'm hesitant to download it. I have a Droid Razr Maxx, but the last game was choppy, and the graphics were downgraded for some reason. I don't want to waste money to buy the same thing.

I actually logged in to talk about this. The game is one of the best I've ever played in a cellphone since ever, and having owned the first game as well, it's a vast improvement on that one, there are though some things I should war you all:

The game requires constant internet connection: Which I think it's lame, because I'd like to play outside with no internet connection and at travels.

The graphics here are superb: I love the graphics here, but I can see why it wouldn't work well in an iPhone 4 or an iPad 2. I also have the first game and I used to play them with my old iPhone 4 and iPad 2 devices, I can't see how this game would work with them now, can't talk about your LG Optimus though, since I never saw one.

I love the gameplay, but the web slinging shows old problems: The web slinging comes with problems that we came to expect, that is, the web is sticking to the clouds. With that said, the combat with thugs are cool as hell, I'm truly having a blast playing this.

The Hero or Menace system in the iOS game: It's pretty great. When I stopped playing, I had citzens cheering at me while I was signing the autograph to a fan girl. I loved the car chase part that I've played but I suck at getting to find thugs after I get a mission to find them.

Overall, I feel it's a vast improvement over the first game and I'd recommend you having an iPad 4th gen or superior to play it, or an iPhone 5 and above.

Just launched the app for the first time. After a long bootcheck for the online cnnevtion and license verifjcation, the game started and got down to business. Very smooth, no unloaded textures, horrendous draw-in or pop up. Simply beautiful, and, cheaper than its predecessor which launched for $6.99 compared to this title, launching at $4.99.

Love this Mysterio design, though. I always enjoy seeing him, it'd be cool if he were in the console version as well.

Wish the colors match the comics. Still cool but too much blue and lavender. I like the helmet and gloves however.

But then again....I don't think the game is worth $60 dollars and I really need to see some user walkthrough's to me 100% positive. It's going to be a hard week. The game comes out,the new Amazing Spiderman 1 comes out,and then I will be seeing the movie that Friday...oh and my back-ordered comics are coming! Most likely that Saturday. So I will get a chance to check out the Superior Spiderman ending and the all the Spidey related books! It's going to be an insane week indeed!
