Arkham City's port to PC is actually amazing, run as smooth as silk on high specs, most of the time
This new Spider-Man game port is the bane of my enjoyment

You aren't talking about Arkham Origins, are you? Arkham Origins was a pretty decent port.

Arkham City stutters regardless of specs. I'm guessing we have different definitions of "silk smooth".

Or the game works differently on each PC

Okay.

Don't get me wrong, I think very highly of Arkham City as a game, but I can't ignore that the PC version is a pretty medicore port.

^Well that speaks for itself.

Optimized = Forgiving. A perfect example of two damn good ports would be Tomb Raider (2013) or Sleeping Dogs.

So again, Arkham City may be a good game, but it is not a good port. It just isn't.

Did they say there will be DLC suits?

I am really wanting a Raimi one more than anything. Loved it in the last game.

Someone did a mod

Not perfect but it is kind of neat.
The lenses in this mod look a lot better than they do in the previous game

I didn't get you wrong, we were discussing porting that game to PC, nothing else

Yes, thus the rest of my post.

Anyway, seems like you're a little in denial about the whole thing, so let's just agree to disagree.

According to that concept artist, Beenox's budget was cut by 3/4.

Yikes. That was the impression I got before the game came out with the lack of anything. Playing the game, it's apparent. Activision confuses me. Did the first one sell well? Not sure, but the first game got decent reviews... so go ahead and cut the budget to make it even harder for them to deliver a better game than that one.

Really love swinging, really hate the combat and everything they cut out of it. Terribly frustrating game I dont believe Beenox can deliver the ultimate spider-man experience, even with a big budget.

If that is true that is crazy and no wonder the game sounds bad has I haven't played it but I wasn't expecting much with it being a movie game. I may get it after a while when It goes down in price but with work and nba playoffs and mlb 14 the show and my back log of like 30 games I already don't have enough time to play video games.

If it ain't CoD, it's not worth spending money on.
[PROTOTYPE] and its sequel are great load of fun
And back in the end 2009 the C.E.O. made a statement like he cares about Spider-Man games

Actually, the game is terribly optimized, so I wouldn't even blame your PC for it.

I'd say it's almost as bad as Arkham City's PC version.

What are your PC specs. The game runs at 60+ fps here maxed out no stuttering, it's one of the best ports I played (next to Max Payne 3).

Arkham Asylum is a bad port, Arkham City isn't.

I'm going to have to give this one a try. Haven't played a NEW Spidey game since Spider-Man 2 on Xbox.

It's pretty good. The story's not the best, but overall I enjoyed it.

Welcome to the hype BTW.:yay:

3,7 GHz CPU.

GTX 670 graphics card.

16 GB RAM.

It's more than enough for Arkham City. The game DOES run at ~63 FPS, but it frequently stutters, because it's a mediocre port. No, it's not terrible, but it could be waaaaaaaay better.

That's what annoys me.

EDIT: The game never goes beyond 63 FPS, just so you know. It's capped. That's one of many signs of a not-so-good port.

Can you tell me about the source if your avatar? I don't think I've seen it, or know where it's from.

On topic, I'm enjoying this game. For combat challenges, use the black suit. It deals good damage, and also has Great damage resistance.

Sorry,off screen Xbox.

We found that out on release day already (swing, then don't move your control stick -> enter the rappel mode).

I used the catapult move to get there and then fired a web, just holded.
