Where is the quote from that's in your signature? I think I remember it being from TAS but can't remember where.

It is from TAS, lol. In the Scorpion episode, the Scorpion doesn't like being called names so Spidey starts blasting off a bunch of them to get him steamed. :woot:

According to that concept artist, Beenox's budget was cut by 3/4.

Good lord. This is one more reason I dare not put any blame on Beenox for however this game turned out. You take away the money, the product isn't going to be as good as it could be. Plain and simple. Money and time are the two biggest issues with game development. Time is already constrained due to it being a movie tie-in so they're already behind the 8-ball. Now cut out the budget, geez, it's amazing (no pun intended) that the game even made it to release. Kudos to Beenox then?? I seriously think they have a talented studio and given enough time and money, they could pull off some sweet games.

What are Activision thinking?

Isn't that the question of the past decade. Maybe longer.

If it ain't CoD, it's not worth spending money on.

This.

We found that out on release day already (swing, then don't move your control stick -> enter the rappel mode).

They had that same move in Edge of Time.

Well, if the budget thing is true, I am really impressed then. I do like the game.

I think 7 or 8 years

They had that same move in Edge of Time.
And for NOIR Spidey in Shattered Dimensions

Well, if the budget thing is true, I am really impressed then. I do like the game.
It truly is impressive for such a low budget, it's not the mess Iron Man games or Thor game are, it's something notably better, much

Yeah, it's actually pretty decent in the circumstances

I agree, given all that. I'm disappointed by the game, but they did a good job making it as playable as it was given the circumstances. It's not something that was in their control, the folks at Beenox just get screwed by having a crappy publisher like Activision hanging over them.

Yeah I will never blame Beenox,I dare to say they do wonders with what they have to work.I think they improved gameplay, some boss battles were very good,I liked being able to control Peter, the level structure, but obviously graphics, story presentation and overall polish suffered from budget cuts.

wow... I was *****ing so much about this game, but seriously 3/4 off the budget?? Activision is absolutely despicable

but at least now there's hope that Marvel will work on a proper Spider-man game

did activision lose the rights? :D

to original "based on comics" story games

so, whichever studio Marvel gives the game rights to can make proper Spider-man games from now on while Beenox can still do the movie tie-ins

Oh god, I'm hoping we get something really good from them!

I'm really hoping this happens. We need a Spider-man game that matches the quality of the Arkham series.

Keep hoping. Disney seems to not be interested in proper AAA console games development (they want mobile and browser games instead). I assume they go the Star Wars route and give the license to someone like EA. Kevin Feige did say he wants to do a Marvel Games Universe that contains all game universes though but he also said they want to do it right that's why there is currently no plan for any Marvel games.

I have been playing the game for some time now and it's really fun. It doesn't look good at all and the animations are bad sometimes but I like the web swinging. Also the city is so much better than it was in the last game. As fun as the game is graphics like these shouldn't be allowed on next-gen consoles. I expected much more.

Beenox really should get a big budget and few years to make TASM3. Spider-Man deserves a great game.

We need a Spider-man game that matches the quality of the Arkham series.
This.

This hero vs menace system is a pain in the ass. Thought if I beat the whole game they would be gone but nope they didn't.

Ah, yes, I remember now! Thank you :D

indeed. the really need to start with the mentality "Ok, people want to play as THE Spider-man, let's look at the ol web heads comic book- and overall pop-culture history and see how we can deliver the most iconic Spider-man in a game yet"

Yo, did we ever find out to who was Alistair speaking to in the first game? (Audio Logs)

That is what we want to know
Maybe he was talking to the real Donald Menken? The Chameleon?

At first i was like "Yeah, that is definetly Norman" but due to recent developments, Menken (Chameleon) is my prime suspect.

Graphically that looks like the Ultimate Spider-Man game. Not bad.
