I hope I can use Unity properly on a different computer if I can't use it properly on my current one, I wanted to do a game with a feel of what CashforStash talked about for quite some time, not exactly as he described, there are some differences

I remember defeating Mysterio in a corner store with a single punch in Spider-Man 2. His health bar charged up to like 3 bars and was completely depleted after one hit. I started shrieking with laughter I thought it was hilarious!

Yeah, I was kinda freaking out when he had three health bars, then he went down in one hit. lol

So is Beenox really doing another game for The Amazing Spider-Man 2?

If so, I assume they're just gonna roll off the last game. The movieverse and gameverse don't really go hand in hand as you all already know.

I honestly hope that they don't do another original story.

I'd much rather them do what the Raimi Trilogy games did, and just expand on the movie story, rather than doing something entirely new.

Anf if they were to make the new game an original story that continues off of the first, they'd have to ignore the events of ASM2 completely. And I don't like that. They wouldn't be able to use the same Rhino, and Electro would have to be reinvented for the game. If he even were to appear.

So honestly, they almost HAVE to ignore the events of the last game, and follow the events of the movies. An original story just really isn't an option.

They aren't doing a game. The game would have had to been announced at E3 or SDCC. Oh well, maybe it's for the better.

Yeah that's exactly what I would picture happening. Your last statement is best to what direction they should go, but would be awkward having the first game existed.

Ah gotcha. Thanks

The ASM game was announced at NYCC, in October of 2011. I think the same will happen here with the ASM2 game.

Eh, I guess it could still get announced. But TASM came out at the end of June, TASM2 would most likely come out at the beginning of May. I hope they had enough time to work on it.

I remember Dee Brown saying that they had already begun work on their next Spidey game while ASM the game was still in production.

I for one would like a 616 game, or something in the vein of the Arkham games. A game that features Spidey and his respected characters bundled in a nice story, great graphics, and fun gameplay. It's not tied or based on anything. Just a nice Spidey adventure.

Couldn't they have a trailer at the VGAs this year? They had one for the ASM.

What?! Serious..

 Ideal.

Yes. And its not that shocking.

Work on SM2 the game began before SM2 the movie was even written and the first game was still in development.

Them doing the same here, even as far as flushing out early gameplay and design concepts, isn't that shocking.

How was the last game for PS3? I haven't bought a Spider-Man video game since SM2's came out. I'm finally kinda getting back into playing.

Eh, combat, Web Rush and some of the graphics are good. Other than that, it's a very mediocre game. It's one of those games you finish because you feel that you HAVE to. Like homework you know. Not much fun at all if you ask me.

I think the next game should be original and loosely based on the film series I.e same characters and tone. I hope we get better swinging and more Peter Parker.

They should stop trying to make it feel like Arkham. I think Spidey games should be similar to Prototype or inFamous.

I agree. They tried the Arkham system for the combat with ASM which felt like a pretty poor knock off imo. I'd rather not see them try to vainly ape something else again.

I think the counter attack system works so well that games like AC3 have adapted it. I think that the combat system should be simple but the should try something new.

Nothing wrong with a counter system itself, but it was how they implemented the entire fight system in ASM that let it down. Try as it might it just didn't flow half as well as the Arkham games.

I agree 100%. They should bring back light and heavy attacks.

All I need to do is jump, he'll fall when Spidey reaches the top of his jump arc
I stood my ground waiting for him to make his first move, walked around him, he stays facing me babbling

They wanted to make their own story, didn't want it to be attached to the movie story as most movie games
I won't mind them doing it again, or trying another original story, as long as they do fine improvements on the previous game. They need to take some cues from ultimate Spider-Man to add to their game to make it one of the best Spidey games

I'm excited to see what they will do with next generation consoles. Say what you will about SM3, but you have to admit on an open-world level it was a huge improvement over SM2.
