Even the Spider-Man model doesn't like like Spider-Man in ASM2.
And his webs look weird. Ugh, I'm actually upset over this because I was really looking forward to this game. The graphics are terrible. The city is dull. And the teaser was ****.
You're right about the S-M2/S-M3 game thing.

I don't get why you're crying over it now though, it was clear to me from the begin that the current gen versions wont look as pretty as they could due to it coming to next gen consoles. You plan on staying with your PS3/360 or what? Because if you plan on getting a next gen console this really shouldn't bother you that much.
I was bothered too when I first saw the trailer, they should've clarified right away that the trailer shows the current gen version of the game. Would've prevented a lot of angry tweets/posts.

I think the graphics looked fine in the teaser.

And if you felt the graphics looked bad, expect the next gen version to look much better.

By the time the game comes out, I'll have a PS4. But that's not the point.
Look at Grand Theft Auto V. That's current gen and it's brilliant. It's massive in scale, the city is populated, the graphics are brilliant. And then you look at this..
You have to see where I'm coming from. It's not acceptable.

And you all that from one teaser trailer? WOW...

GTA V actually looked just as terrible in gameplay videos posted before the game was released.

Lol. Now youre getting absurd. Not to mention, Tim is right, the final game will look slightly better than this. (Not much, but noticeably.) The ASM teaser was a beta build and I'm willing to bet this teaser is too, mostly because the teaser was set entirely at night. The graphics were pretty well hidden and I'm betting that's because they don't have anything pretty to show us, yet. I'm not saying it's gonna look fantastic, because it totally won't, but I suggest calming down a bit until we get closer to release day. If the game hasn't changed, you have every right to complain.

Also, what's up with Spidey not having a full belt? He has a full belt in the movie :S

GTA 5 also had 5 times the development time and budget.

This game is tailored for next gen rather than current, so the current will obviously lack in comparison.

Plus you have to take into consideration that we're still months from the final version, so of course it'll lack.

It looks good. As SpideyFan866 says, it's a next-gen game mainly, next-gen version will look great.

Actually, the current-gen version looks good, it just needs some anti-aliasing.

Teaser trailers hardly look as good as the full game
At least be sure the full game will look better, like Tim said and socool agreed

Graphics look just the same as the first game, I won't expect any difference in gameplay
The first movie game is fun imo, don't think I will hate this

Which doesn't exist/hardly exists on current gen consoles. The 360 is capable of having AA but that wont make a big difference.

The part where he's hanging upside down, he doesn't have a full belt.

It's there. It's just slightly hidden for some reason. Probably a graphical glitch but you can see some faint red if you pause.

Also, in a shot in the trailer, you can see one of those floating comic-books that were available in the first game.

PS3 and 360 are capable of a 2xMSAA solution, or less consuming AA. It's used in some games, like Rockstar's or MGS4. Well, and in PS3, in almost every exclusive title.

Most games, though, use a "blur" to cover this, it's yet to be implemented in this one.

Meh, that's it? I hope we'll get a longer trailer soon.

OK so the first game definitely had a more interesting first teaser. But seriously this doesn't give us any info besides the game is coming out.

Surely not enough to start throwing the game under the bus already.

And yeah again, if you think that looks PS2 quality, you are just flat out wrong. Google screenshots of Spider-Man 2. Or even the PS3/360 version of Spider-Man 3.

Amazing was the best looking Spider-Man yet, so I am sure graphics won't be an issue.

By the way, here's a full press release from SHH

Activision and Marvel Entertainment today revealed The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game is planned to launch next spring, alongside the Sony Pictures Entertainment feature film of the same name. Developed by Beenox, the same game studio behind 2012's original hit The Amazing Spider-Man, this all-new third-person action-adventure video game builds on the story of the previous game with an alternative take on the events of the upcoming movie, while also giving players an enhanced, free-roaming web-slinging experience through a greatly expanded New York City.

"The first 'The Amazing Spider-Man' game gave players their own beautifully animated, free-roaming city of Manhattan to traverse and explore – a playground of majestic scale in which to live out our common hero fantasies," said Thomas Wilson, Co-Studio Head of Beenox. "And the overwhelming message from fans was: 'MORE!' That's what our team is working toward with 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' – we're giving gamers more abilities, more upgrades, more challenges, and more freedom to progress. And with the game launching alongside the new movie, offering an expanded interactive experience beyond the film, fans of the franchise won't want to miss playing it."

In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, players once again assume the role of the iconic Super Hero in a unique side-story inspired by the feature film but set in its own continuity. Throughout his journey, Spider-Man will encounter a number of new foes as well as some old friends, as he confronts a new threat to his beloved city. The narrative will give Peter Parker, Spider-Man's nerdy photojournalist persona, a greater role in the spotlight, as he investigates the complicated motivations and unique personalities behind the menagerie of Marvel menaces threatening Manhattan.

As Spidey, players will be able to free-roam through a greatly-enhanced Manhattan cityscape, one set to offer livelier, more engaging opportunities with which to put his sensational skills to use. Central to the expansive depth and detail being poured into The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game is the new "Hero or Menace" system, which incentivizes Super Hero behavior by rewarding the web-slinger's crime-fighting efforts, and adds consequences for letting criminality fester. Spider-Man's personal brand of web-swinging and up-close-and-personal combat will see a variety of new features as well.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game is planned to launch alongside the feature film next spring for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360, Nintendo's Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, and Windows PC.

I hope the keep the 2nd game a bit low key. As much as I enjoyed the first game, I hated the Spider Slayers. I don't know, it didn't feel like the game took place in the same continuity as the Movie. It was just too over the top. With giant robots all over the place, that threatened to decimate the entire city.
