I think these two films are natural comparables.

They're both the second films in their respective franchises, which are gritty remakes of prior franchises, seeking to expand their mythologies to launch an expanded universe.

Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor is a good hybrid of Jamie Foxx' Elektro and Dane DeHaan's Harry Osborn.

Batman V Superman had the better script, better acting and a better director. It wins by default despite having many of the same flaws.

They are very comparable. I think right now...if I were to watch one again...it would be BvS once the extended Blu-ray is released, to see if any of that extra footage helps the movie. But at the same time the movie was already plenty long and do not really want to sit through it again.

Both drop the ball on representing their title characters, but I prefer Spider-Man over Batman and Superman...so I'd probably reach for Amazing 2 before BvS. And I haven't seen it since it was released in theaters, never picked up the Blu-Ray.

They are of comparable quality, which is to say they are both awful.

I will say I liked Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy in TASM2, which is one more likable character than in the entire cast of BvS (Amy Adams is great, but like Ms. Gadot she gets nothing to do). I also cared about her and Peter's relationship even though Garfield's Peter is a narcissistic *****ebag. With that said Zack Snyder on a very glossy, superficial level makes pretty images. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is often garish and ugly looking with the CGI being repulsive. Meanwhile, other than Doomsday looking like a giant turd, BvS looks vaguely cool at all times.

Also, Hans Zimmer was phoning it in less with BvS than he did on TASM2. Still, you can tell the heart he put into TDKT scores and then MoS's scores is gone. You can hear him cashing the paycheck in BvS.

Overall, both are awful, so why split hairs? I will please take none of the above.

ASM 2 is slightly better in that it actually made me like a few of the characters, namely Peter and Gwen. It was far from perfect, I've stated numerous times how much I dislike that movie, but I at least saw an effort in a few scenes.
The only effort I saw in BvS was the effort to kickstart the DCEU and tickle some fanboy sweet spots. Unfortunately it appears to have effectively done both.

I should clarify that while I did say Spider-Man is my personal favorite super hero, Superman and Batman are also very high on that short list of favorites, and I respect both of their legacy's immensely considering they are the first two ever. It pains me to see Superman go through this twice in a row, and for Batman fans to settle and embrace this new edition.

Bummer all around but at least Spidey has a new opportunity ahead of him. The same can't be said for Superman; though Batman will have a new creative team for his next adventure. I think. Is JL coming before the Batman solo films?

Justice League will supposedly be in theaters in November 2017. With Zack Snyder directing. It cannot be doing Ben Affleck any favors after this most recent one.

BvS, though it actually gets me angrier. That was a good point on Zimmer DACrowe. I couldn't remember a single new track from his side of the fence on BvS, whereas he brought something new and interesting each time in the TDK Trilogy. Also, both movies did the unthinkable and made my two favorite superheroes (Batman and Spider-man) so incredibly unlikable. A big reason why Bale and Maguire win out for me in comparison.

Wow, yeah I wouldn't be surprised if that gets pushed back.

Pros of ASM2: It was at least fun
Had a great main theme
Loved Spider-Man. Thought they got him right, when he was in costume at least
Fantastic costume
Loved the scene of Spidey with the little boy, even if it was silly. Spider-Man was still an inspiring figure.
Loved seeing spidey swing around and he had a cool fighting style
The editing wasn't as all over the place as BvS

Pros of BvS: Ben Affleck as Batman
Great Batman fight scene
Batman v Superman fight was good
Same with the Doomsday fight
Wonder Woman was fine

It's honestly tough for me to decide. I don't love either of them. ASM 2 had truly terrible villains, and then Lex was terrible in BvS as well.

I think BvS edges it out just a little bit, but at least ASM2 got its main hero right. Spidey is my second favorite hero, whereas Superman is my #3. BvS's handling of Superman really upset me.

I put them on equal footing. Over stuffed, hammy villains, unlikable hero, CGI fest villain showdown, and one stand out performance in each (Stone/Affleck)

ASM2 is the first time in movie history where a composer tried to fill in the blanks of a character's motivations by including it in the soundtrack. That must count for something.

At its worst, ASM2 made me think, "Wow, that was stupid." At its worst, BvS just plain bored me. I'll give it to BvS.

They are both pretty terrible. I give a slight (and I'm talking sliver here) of an edge to TASM2 because there are some good moments between Peter and Gwen, compared to Clark and Lois where Snyder has failed twice to provide any memorable moments between them.

TASM2 is a mess and has major flaws, but I can enjoy it enough and stick it on every so often. I don't think I'm even going to buy BVS. I can't ever see a day coming where I say to myself "I'm in the mood to watch Batman v Superman."

BvS didn't fall quite so far. Amazing Spider-Man and Man of Steel are comparable films though.

lol show how bad Batman vs Superman is when it get poll results like that.

This one really isn't even a contest for me.

BvS.

ASM2 is better. At least, that felt like a movie. A ****** movie yes but a movie none the less.
BvS isn't really a movie. Is a bunch of clips from couple different movies put together by someone on acid.

BvS might have serious problems, but TASM2 was a serious problem with barely a couple of redeeming points.

They both as bad as each other. Lex Luthor as goofy as Electro lol.

Nowhere near. I wish Electro was such a cold-blooded killer.

I really really like the Wonder Woman theme though. If one good thing came from this film, it's that Wonder Woman is set up to kick ass next year.

I admit, I actually like Electro's theme. It's super annoying. But there's something catchy about it.

BvS was far better. Electro and Lex Luthor cancel each other out in terms of going full Schumacher.

Batman and Wonder Woman saved BvS and made it at least entertaining, despite the major plot criticisms. They really just need to shore up the Superman side of things.

Tough, but I have to go with BvS. It didn't really miss many targets, the problems were different. TASM2's problems came from it simply failing to do anything to the peak of greatness. It did everything halfway to cram for Sinister 6. BvS nailed most of what it tried to do in the end.
