"It's you who's out, Gobby...out of your mind!" Takes the cake for me. *shudders*One of the worst lines of the first trilogy. I'm having horrible flashbacks.

No offense, but I have a feeling that TASM was actually not made with kids in mind. If it was they would of told the audience more of what was happening than showed it.
How much did the movie make on Saturday?
"Isn't it a little to early in our relationship to start talking about this Gobby?"
..I'm not a good comedian.
Jul. 7 Sat The Amazing Spider-Man $23,850,000
Spider-Man is the personification of teenage angst and a symbol of coming-of-age, so I don't see why he should be catered to children. He can be accessible to them in the same way that Batman or Iron Man is: on a purely visual level.
The quoted 340Million includes July 7?

You're kidding, right? On top of being incredibly cheesy, it's just not something Peter would ever say - under the influence of the symbiote or otherwise. It's actually "Look at little Goblin Jr.. You gonna cry?"
And it's a great line- delivered perfectly.

..how is the above cheesy?
So I see someone is still on their crusade...
I'm delighted this movie is thriving at the box office so far. I think a sequel is a lock.
Good thing Raimi's Spider-Man never did anything like that. Oh... wait...No- cheesy is an exchange between Spidey and a car thief about if he's a cop dressed in Red & blue tights. Especially opening with "If you're going to steal a car- don't dress like a car thief-" WTF does that even mean? What does a car thief dress like? Not to mention that appearing and disappearing in thin air was never one of Spider-Man's powers. That's the result of writer's block.
