Finally got to sit down and view the new trailer a few times. Looks awesome! Love where they're going with this storywise & the cast is really good too. Andrew is going to own it.

Nit picks limited to disliking the Lizard's face and wishing I could change a few details on the spidey costume -

1) I'd remove the leg stripes and add one around his waist, it just looks weird without it and
2) I'd change the shape of the eye lenses a bit

Looks freaking amazing, tho - love the webshooters, the deep red and blue in the tights, and the bits of swinging we got. Can't wait.

I did a double take on that avatar. If you squint your eyes kinda looks like She Hulk.

It just wouldn't look right, tbh. Imagine that in the size comparison picture I posted of Spidey and the Lizard, that Spidey is Doc Connors. Seeing somebody go from that size to the Lizard's size whilst still maintaining his tattered labcoat with his ID tag would be stretching it a little, tbh.

I feel you, I just don't think thats the tone they're going for. I understand that's the classic look but some of those looks really only work well when the world is in that tone and for all we know, it may look silly on screen. Mostly though, I just don't think it would work for the world they created in the same way it would be hard for the mandarin to exists in the world they created for Iron Man and continued for Iron Man 2. As much as we may love certain villains, they have to fit in the context of the created universe...I mean, can anyone imagine Danny Devito's penguin in a Chris Nolan Batman flick?

Looking at the trailer, I wonder what changes have been made to make it new and different but also affective. Because it seems like Peter will become Spider-Man, the superhero of NYC, now when Uncle Ben is still alive. Maybe the Lizard kills him in this version? If Denis Leary is truthful about being open/in the sequels to ASM, then that funeral might be Ben's, and the "I have to stop him, because I created him" line is said afterward, which would make sense.

Also, I don't know when Gwen found out, if she ever did, that Peter was Spider-Man, but in ASM it looks like she knows from the beginning due to her scenes. And finally, I would figure the line "with great power comes great responsibility" will still be said by Ben, but I also think it will not be originained from him in this film; I think that will be Peter's father's line/words of wisdom, that might appear in a scene when Pete is still a kid, and then later Ben says it to reinforce it.

That's just my speculation after watching the trailer.
