I would love at some point for him to have tracers, but I dont want him getting everything in the first movie. If he creates tracers say in one of the sequels, it'll enforce the fact that he's still really smart.

Can't wait for tracers! They're gonna be so great. I'm pretty much just counting that as an inevitability.

True, but I'd like it if it was gotten out of the way early in the movie. I'm guessing it'll be similar to how MJ found out in USM.

I'd like that as well. And I think it'll make her death have even more impact...if they have the balls to off her.

Tracers are most useful if he's fighting regular crime, gangsters and such(which I would love to see him doing). Spidey may be mostly just a reactionary hero but it's not like he's never tried to go beyond that.

Tracers will give Spider-Man some kind of detective-esque qualities. I kinda like that.

if they have goblin he could use them to track him down or something when hes in hiding. Could even be made as a motive to find him after he kills Gwen.

I think they're more detective-esque as DyeLorean said as opposed to Spidey's usual schtick of basically being a patrolman-type hero.

In the plot summary for the movie it says something along the lines of, "Peter is set on a crash course with Connors' alter ego - the Lizard," so maybe Dr. Connors doesn't know he is the Lizard or doesnt remember and he transforms every time he takes the Lizard-Juice.

The one thing I liked about the trailer is Garfield actually being in the Spider-man suit in the cop car.

His voiced didn't sound like his dialogue was recorded in a studio.

That's something I had a problem with in Raimi's Spider-man movies.

You knew Maguire wasn't there 80% of the time and he just recorded his lines in a studio.

Raimi's movie borrowed alot from the 60's Ditko era

Webb's borrows from Ultimate Spider-man and the recent issues of "Amazing Spider-man"

Nothing says hipster like wearing a "Ramones" T-shirt

I've couldn't agree more!

Yeah, if you watch the bridge scene in SM1, it's PAINFULLY obvious that Spider-Man didn't actually say anything. He just sorta stares at the screen as crystal-clear audio from Tobey plays. It's really jarring.

Love that avatar

Has anyone noticed this? I've seen someone mention on here how he wouldn't prefer a genius Lizard, but maybe we might actually get that. Do you think we might get a plot where Lizard wants to turn the entire city, or is it just some random green device on that tower?

^^Good catch. They've already gone with a more Ditko-esque look on the character, and maybe they're going for that aspect of the Lizard trying to turn everyone into versions of himself. I don't mind that aspect.

Yes we have talked about that...It's hoaky to me and why they thought it was an awesome idea I have no...idea. But yeah...looks like Lizard wants to turn NYC into a reptile lounge.

Anyone else think that the funeral at the end of the film is for Dr. Connors? I'm pretty sure I read that Denis Leary was signed on for the sequel. Just a thought.

Yup, I noticed this myelf and it looks like it just may be happening.

Eh, I've never minded the aspect. It's a part of the character's history. I don't mind the mindless killing machine interpretation either. But I think I like it best when they mix. He starts out more human and gradually gives in to his more primal instincts.

I really hop Doc Connors survives. I'd love him to be in Spideys debt and helping him out in future movies. Kinda like Spidey's personal Lucius Fox, but only when it comes to genetics.

That's because they are the same thing. If you look to the left of the first picture you can see sky and the light of out of focus distant buildings.

Ha, you're right. I thought the first shot was from inside the Lab.
