Nothing extremely special but I supposed it's nice to see the new logo.

Thanks for this but seriously, somebody already made a thread on this. :|

and what is it? Because I for one am far from "teased" by it and the 'in 3d' line just makes it worse too.

Well, the fact for it's almost the same piece of crap we saw months ago.

Hell, that one looks better... and I hate them both.

But I've got some hope that we'll be getting something... better later on in the day.

Why are people flipping out? As people said, it's basically a teaser for a teaser. Anyone expecting much of anything out of a promo poster for an expo is a wishful thinker. The expo starts in the next couple of hours so we'll probably be getting something(s) with more substance later on.

It's not just that. I'm a little annoyed at the fact that people think what we're seeing is the official logo.

And why wouldn't it be? Why would they use one font and style for one thing and then change it for the next? The original trilogy had the same logo from the first teaser poster through the last film. And why is that annoying anyway? Is it really that big of a deal to you?

If you looked at the set pictures, you'd know that the actual logo and font is completely different.

Why would they use one font and style and change it for the next? Seriously? They want to move themselves as FAR as possible from the Raimi trilogy. So far the only thing that's a wink to Raimi's Spider-Man is the suit logo, and even that's not 100% the same.

You clearly don't know how to read and comprehend.

I was saying why would they use a certain font for this poster and then change it for future posters/trailers? The font isn't really even that similar to the Raimi font not to mention the fact that the "Raimi font" is actually just what has become Sony's universal typeface (see: Playstation 3 etc.)

You're clearly blind.

You can't see how the fonts are similar?

They're both sleek and modern. Literally the only similarity. You can only get something so different before it distances itself from the product. Based on the suit design and the overall atmosphere of what has been released to us, a sleek and modern typeface is needed to present the same tone as the movie.

And actually, the more I look at the two typefaces, the more different they become.

Jesus.

Alright look. You said why would they use one font then change it later, right?

They've used this font WITH the logo (ignoring the lettering on the second picture, that's just text on the camera slider):

Why would they go from that to this?

Nevermind, I can tell I'm arguing with a wall.

And by the way, thank you for making exactly the same thread Spider-Boy made.

Releasing a promo of a promo seems quite wasteful.

I'm laughing so hard at these people are "disappointed" in a promotional poster for a branding expo. Good God. Pathetic.

And this likely isn't all we're getting. The expo hasn't even started yet. We'll probably get 2 or 3 images that Troy can complain about.
