I suppose it's only a matter of time before we have a team of people who, like the Avengers, are extraordinary and are united to withstand a threat no single villian could cope with (namely the Avengers).

Who would you like it to be?

MOE....it's not even a question.

If they even *try* to bring The Liberators into the MCU, I'll revolt and refuse to watch another Marvel Studios movie again EVARRRRR.

Seriously. The Liberators are soooo much suckage. Some of the worst Millar & Bendis claptrap ever devised.

Personally, I thought the entirety of the Ultimates universe was godawful crap. Hopefully they'll keep as much of that crap out of the MCU as possible.

Title: Avengers Disassembled

Members: IM, Ant/Giant Man, Wasp, Thor, Cap, Fury, Hawkeye, Widow.

Villain: Vision, Ultron, robot army.

Why don't we use the Thunderbolts..
After the events of Avengers the World Security Council feel they can't trust Fury, so they get with General Ross to create a team they can control. Billed The Thunderbolts Ross brings in

Abomination, Titanium Man, Songbird, Wonder Man and Citizen V.

Ross teams turns on him and go rogue, but the ending would see a badly wounded Ross become RULK.

An updated version of the MoE, mixed with a grain of the Liberators

I agree with a MoE/Liberators hybrid. Say what you will about the Ultimates but the Liberators made a great anti-Avengers team, just the widescreen action scenes made them memorable. The Colnel (everyone loves lightsabers!) Abomination, Swarm (who works as a good foil for Wasp) as well as classic MoE members such as Zemo, Executioner and Enchantress, maybe radioactive man for good measure.

I wonder what would happen if the Masters of Evil were exactly the same in every way except they are renamed 'The Cabal'. Would people kick off?

Who would you cast as the Anti Avengers if you could choose any foil? It would be cool to put in villians who may not be able to sustain their own story like say Baron Zemo, Madame Masque, Zzax and maybe the Wrecking Crew.

Baron Zemo could sustain his own story.. imho.

I was thinking about Dark Avengers the other day, but the current MCU rogue's fit more into Masters of Evil I think.

I'd like to see Abomination involved, Zemo would be great especially if he has anything to do with Cap2

I like your style.

As far as another villain team, I would also like to see Thor vs The Wrecking Crew if a sequel is earth-bound again.

Having the Masters of Evil would be a good way to slip Wanda and Pietro in.

Really need to think about changing the name though for a movie. You just can't go around calling yourselves the Masters of Evil these days.

Magneto's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants was always quite an amusing one as well, when he recruited them do you think he covered the word 'Evil' on the brochures?

Oh goody, I thought I would get a few "no way, that rips up continuities" comments for that one. Yay!

I agree about the Masters of Evil name. That's why I started this thread. I remember in the Ultimate Universe the Brotherhood was renamed 'The Brotherhood of Mutant Superiority'

Joss'll know what to do about the name :yay:

I don't see Abomination working with or for Ross....

Well in "The Consultant" one shot on the Thor DVD, Coulson stated that Ross wanted The Abomination released and put on The Avengers. So I'd imagine Blonsky would choose working for Ross again (even if he betrays him later on) over being locked up.

Yeah, Tony might call them the "Masters of Evil" but that's not what they're going to call themselves. Liberators sounds right, and no previous incarnation is going to serve a movie well. In fact, the best way to do it, I think would be just to pull solo movie villains out.

Red Skull, Abomination, Enchantress, Mandarin (if he survives), and yes, it'd be cool way to see Wanda and Pietro or Wonder Man in there somehow.

I voted Liberators for the name only. Masters of Evil is the concept they should go with, should they go this route.

With the [BLACKOUT]Iron Patriot[/BLACKOUT] spotted on the set of Iron Man 3 maybe the Avengers 2 or 3 bad guys could be the [BLACKOUT]Dark Avengers[/BLACKOUT].

They could be a Government sponsored and "controlled" Avengers team that goes rogue or something...
