*Hippie voice* "Nah man, YOU rock."
But seriously, hope everything's getting back on track for ya.
As to the match, Darth Maul took on one of the best Jedi Masters in the history of the modern Order in Qui Gon AND he took on Obi Wan Kenobi during his prime and he more than held his own against them both, of course killing Qui Gon with relative ease and no injuries sustained.
THAT says more than anything that Maul is just a deadly fighter. Not taking away from Luke facing down Vader, albeit his father who really wasn't trying to kill him in the manner Maul would.
Hands down, Darth Maul is the better fighter with a superior lightsaber, not to mention being the most underrated SW character ever.
Darth Maul
Luke, he's the one. The one they mistook Anikin for and the one that was destine to end the empire. As a full Jedi he had a more well rounded use of the force too. From what we saw of maul he was all about the Light saber. Despite Maul holding off 2 jedis for a short time he had to divide to beat one and then lose to the other in 1 on 1 combat. Luke was destine to do what Ben and even Yoda couldn't. I can't see maul taking him out.
He is the only one that ever turned a darksider back to good which is how HE beat the emperor. Also the light saber skills comparisons that have been made are a bit funny. I mean clearly they cast a martial artist as Darth Maul where as Hamil did his own sword work with no prior experience so yeah one guys fights were much more elaborate but in the context of the films Vader matched Kenobi, all be it an older kenobi than Maul faced but still much younger than Yoda was when he faced the Emperor, until Ben sacrificed himself to serve as a distraction. Luke took out vader and While Vader may not have been going for the kill he could have disarmed him as he did in Empire. He was clearly trying to win and turn Luke to the dark side and Luke obviously wasn't trying to kill Vader as Ben did to Maul!

But he's beating Luke's ass at the moment...
I was taking that popularity into account, because technically Luke > Vader because you take the most recent version... which would be Return where Luke had him beat.
Thought the additional popularity weight might make Vader a tad more interesting.
Round Over!
And..... IT'S A TIE!
7-7 Maul and Luke manage to hold each other off, but neither can pull out a win.
