the Art of Bob - Why did you drink my Shampoo?

Can I still call you 'The Bobster'?
Yes. Other acceptable names:
Bobbers
Lobster Bobster
Bob-o
Bobopoly
discomBOBulated
iBOB
etc

I passed in my Modness. Guess I couldn't deal with the responsibility. I don't know. Regardless, Drakon's a mod now and certainly browses these boards more than I ever do. So, I was very happy to see him get his Modness.

Oh, and Lupus/Question, you are welcome.

Hands are my favourite part of the body to draw.

Thanks for the vouch of confidence.

I'm gonna make a movie about you. "I, Robert"

I'll stick with 'The Bobster'. :D

It's understandable why you quit, and it was nice of you to 'pass the torch' to Drakon, who's a nice guy once you get him drunk enough. Plus the beatings probably got old for you. :)

The hands are always fun, and not so fun depending on the character. The way you draw hands is simple yet very effective. I draw hands either really square looking or very round looking.

I live by the mantra, "less is more".

Drakon does a lot of things drunk. Some not so moral... some could get him money if he would just charge for his services...

very nice stuff Bob, as always I think your character designs are very well extremely done, nice edges too and style. IK love em alot

So, I was looking at alot of your work, really like what your doing here. Was wondering what type of tools do you use to create some of your work? Is alot of your stuff vector base> How do you get to come out so nicely, like your spike cowboy bebop drawing.

Do you have a link like a website (sorry if you posted it I didn't see it) with some tutorials, I would definetly like to learn how you color your work.

Thanks (^_^)

Sorry, no tutorials. I've contemplated it, but my methods are no better than the methods of other people with tutorials. (That, and I rarely know how to put my steps into the correct words. Example: Next, you click that one box. You know, that box. The one with the lines. That one, yes...)

But yes, most of my work (almost all of it) is vector based. My tools used are pencils and pens to initially draw the art and then I usually redraw it in Adobe Illustrator. Sometimes I will just color the lines using Adobe Photoshop, but I prefer Illustrator.

So, yeah. Been gone. Dating, I guess. Girls take up a lot of time, don't they? When I haven't been dating I've been fuddling around with some various game making programs (RPG Maker) and just being a general dork. Oh, and attempting to play WoW... to no avail for now.

No new art to post.

lol, liking the clone, Bob.

Remember me? I used to post in your thread ALL the time. you probably don't but never mind!

And you'll be glad to know it took me JUST as long, (okay maybe a bit less), to reach 2,000 posts. :D

Anyway I was hoping i could give you a request... I've flicked through this thread and didn't notice...

Iron Man? Sentry? or Ultimate Hulk, to add to your ever-expanding question of awesomely brilliant Hulk stuff :)

Obviously as ever, you don't have to fulfil the request. Be brilliant if you did though.

Oh, and one last thing. You do a lot of simple, inked drawings. Would you mind if i used a couple to practise my photoshop? I haven't even TRIED using it for a month or two, and have lost the touch abit, so thought i'd start simple again... of course, if i post the results, i'll give credit where credit's due for the artwork itself.

AND WHY THE CHANGE OF NAME!

(good luck with teh dating game, BTW...

I remember the ISM. I also remember driving the ISM away from my threads. Ha.. yeah... good ole' angry Bob. But I remember you, you were one of my biggest fans. (You really should have better taste.. HAHAHA).

Anyhoo, as for the request. When I start drawing again, I'll tackle one of those. It's not that I've stopped drawing per se, I've just been too busy putting my rampant creativity elsewhere.

And, feel free to color any of my art. This goes for anyone. As long as credit is given where credit is due. And, feel free to post it in a thread (but, it would be cool if you posted it in here too).

The name change was just out of boredom. the I_Bob name was just getting old. I needed a fresh name. Something new. This is what I came up with. I just moved my "location" to the name spot. Meh.

But yeah. Nice to see you post in here again, ISM.

Can I visit you sometime Shampoo? Please....

Sure. When are you free?

Interesting place to ask... I'm surprised we're on SHH at the same time.

I thought for old tyme sake, it would be cool to contact you this way. I actually tried calling you a few weeks back. I'm surprised your phone didn't show that I rang. Don't worry though. I will get to speaking with you soon, along with Mikey-Rue. By the way, do you have Mindbender placed anywhere on your site?

Only one Mindbender pic. It's here:

http://www.bobish.com/b4/pop_gi/drmind.htm

From my "G.I.Knight" series I did for a brief period. G.I.Joes drawn like they were from Lord of the Rings or something.

My phone's weird.

Ive just looked through your whole thread Mr Shampoo sir, and may I say its amazingly fabulous creative stuff is great. Your style is very clean cut, in some ways simple, yet detailed. I cant explain it.
cool work :)

"It's one thing being attacked by dead men... It's worse when the dead men are your comrades brought back to life seconds after being killed by the man who is now controlling their dead body."

Man...you gotta love that line. You should write novellas.

yeah, that was a pretty funny line - especially if you say it in an over-dramatic, upper crust English accent :)

The last attempt I made at writing a story, I got a raging email from one of my ex-girlfriend's telling me I put her in a negative light. That's what I get for doing a bizarre, fabricated "autobiography."

Yup.

So yeah. I don't know.

Thanks, Mrs. Richards. I appreciate it. I know what you are trying to say. It's simple but not. Right now, I'm trying a more "sloppy" look in my art.
