Homecoming The ASM3 Fan Art Thread! We do some web design (and manips)

Very nice!

I'm guessing Spidey is being chased by the S6?

Thanks! Yeah, they're all coming out of the woodwork, I suppose. Wow, I've never used that expression before. Something may be wrong with me.

But yeah, I have 4 of 6 done ("done") now. It's actually turning out a little better than I expected.

Really, it's great! Are you going to add color to it, too?

When drawing Spider-Man, the hardest part for me has always been the webbing; but yours is on the mark. I have a lot of drawings that people have told me are nice, but I guess they haven't been exposed to the kind of work you have here :funny:

Ha, thanks. :woot:

I don't usually add color. I just prefer to shade it to death lol. And yeahh, the webbing can be tricky, but I've been drawing Spider-Man for so long now (since 4th grade... I'm almost 20 now) that it's become pretty much second nature.

I don't add color either, mainly because I'm just terrible add it :funny:

Art is just one of those "You either got it or you don't" kind of things. I know people who have been practicing their whole lives, and they're terrible. Then there's others who just have a knack for it naturally, and that's probably the category which you fall under.

Ha yeah, I inherited a lot from my parents. My dad's way better than I am still. And my mom did some really nice stuff back in school. They actually met at an art school. But my dad always mentions how he never really taught me much. I just kinda got it on my own.

And I used to be really bad with color, so I just got more comfortable without it. I'm probably a lot better now, but I don't even think about it anymore :funny:

Well, that explains a lot!

Both parents being in art school and meeting there, by default, gives you a superpower :funny:

My mom draws a lot, so i feel like I got it from her. My dad wrote a lot of poetry and is extremely creative as well, though, which led me to get involved with things such as spoken word poetry and writing.

Many wish they could draw, so don't take it for granted!

Nice! I do a little bit of a lot now, I guess. Writing a bit as well. Plenty of dancing. And yeah, people always tell me how much they wish they could draw. I guess it is a superpower, huh? Just one that I take months to finish each time I use it.. :woot:

All about the arts and crafts, I see

Is that what you're going to school for as well?

Hey, all superpowers don't have be the same, right?

It will be, once I actually start going to school.. lol

And yeah, what fun would it be if all superpowers were the same?

Interestingly enough, an art school was actually one of my first choices as well. Whatever you do, avoid all "Art Institute" locations.

I visited them once and they're a straight up scam. Thank me later :oldrazz:

Oh yeah? I've heard some mixed reviews about them.

They're a diploma mill. If you walk into any of their "institutes," you can tell they're just trying to take advantage of the folks who have a dream to succeed in music, but have no real knowledge of how the industry works.

They have a bunch of studios and fancy classrooms to make you buy into them. Other than that, I wasn't impressed. A good friend of mine is in the D.C. location and he's a studio engineer by heart. He's one of the most driven people I know, and three years after graduating, his degree has yet to earn him anything of substance.

Hmm. Yeahh, I've heard some similar things. But I've also heard some positives. Then some neutrals...

Everything, basically.. lol

There are a lot of better options out there.

Just the amount of money they're asking for annually should be indicative of what they really want.

Ugh, yeah. But it seems like every school I can find around here that offers graphic design (which is what I'm looking into) is about just as expensive.

Really? Just as expensive as the AI?

Feel free to PM me about it if you want. I'm curious to know what schools you're talking about.

I probably need to look at all the info they gave me again, but all the schools that I could find around me with design are just a lot higher priced than the ones without. Rasmussen, Sanford-Brown (which was IADT when I was looking into them), etc.

I'll have to look into those.

However, I do hear that most people in your field are more successful through institutions other than the mainstream ones like AI.

Yeah I think I've heard something similar. There's just a lot to consider.

Took me a few hours to make this! hope you guys enjoy! :)

that costume's awesome!

this in a hollywood level fabric would be awesome. but i dont expect such a serious mask with lenses like that, as much as id like it. Going to be similar to ASM2 if this actually happens imo. Itll fit the more humorous, not too serious at times universe theyve built.
