REVIEW:
What's a great Batman episode with Superman appearing? Well then again, not Superman but the guy who played him in the successful Superman Returns film. For this new episode, we get a new villian called The Everywhere Man and as a surprise for us, he's voiced by Brandon Routh, our new Superman. So let's see how this episode was like with our hero confronting another hero......as a villian.

The story was a mystery. Batman shows his human side as since he is best friends with John (played by Routh) and he doesn't want him to be the villian and wants to prove his innocence (kinda makes you think of Ethan/Clayface). Robin plays a little more as his own man...or kid, as he goes out on his own and plays detective for a short while and fights alot of Everywhere Men.

When we are first introduced to Everywhere Man, to confronts John. Which questions us as Everywhere Man is played by Routh yet he's John and Everywhere Man's voice is deeper. After a quick fight, he shows his power to vanish. His multiple powers (you gotta think Multiple Man from X-Men) causes a tough fight with Batman & Robin. Its then revealed that John is Everywhere Man and he has made alot of duplicates. However, one is darker than the other and they do fight each other if they don't agree on whatever it is. Then later on, we get the twist of all of them. Which I won't reveal because that surprised me.

The character of Clea is voiced by another Superman connection: Allison Mack, Chloe from Smallville. What do we know abotu her? Well she is a friend of John and Bruce and works at the museum. That's it. This was the bad thing from this episode as we got nothign more from this character as she was just a small role. Something that is sure to anger fans of Allison Mack. Basically, the character of Clea was there.

Overall, this episode was good. At first I thought there was nothing to shock about and I got somewhat tired at times. Watching it the second time, that's when you see that this episode deserves more than my original 5 outta 10 stars. The Everywhere Man was interesting and believable to the point where it made alot of sense for both Batman & Robin to be needed to take him down. While it was good to see Brandon Routh is a voice acting role, and appearing with another DC superhero, I still feel that while he did great for this villian, it would've been better if he appeared as Superman so we could've had a world's finest episode already.

RATING: 7/10

I was not at all expecting Robin's little trick with the duplicates. Very cool. It was an ok episode, not as good as the previous episodes, but I enjoyed it. Routh also did a very solid job

Did you guys notice how they designed E-Man and Clea? Sure resembled the actors who voiced them. :D

I guess I'm in the majority here when I say that Brandon did very well in this episode. I think he needs to take on the role of a live-action villain (not counting his run on a soap opera) in the future.

I thought this episode was good . I agree with you Bink {i'd prefer to of had Routh as SUPERMAN guest star on THE BATMAN than a villian.} But for what it's worth Routh did a good job.

As for allison [I'm glad she didn't have a huge role .] Personally I think she was brought in just to get Allison Mack /Chloe fans to watch The BATMAN .

Because she really didn't serve an important purpose in this episode.

as I've said before Robin is the best thing about this season [I like robin a hell of alot more than the annoying Batgirl.]

The finale fight between Bats & EM was cool.

overall I give this episode

4/5

I was missing batgirl, but robin is the man

I liked the episode--Routh was pretty good as Everywhere Man, and for a modern-day cartoon, it had a fairly good mystery about it. :)

This episode gets at least an 8 from me for Robin's "Broom Theory."

What a difference a season can make. Last season, TMNT was blazing up the screen and THE BATMAN was sinking fast under poor management of Batgirl. Now, TMNT: FF struggles to be decent and THE BATMAN has quickly emerged as the best comic cartoon this season, almost entirely because the writers seem better able to handle Robin than they ever were with Batgirl. He adds that youthful experience to the Dark Knight but isn't as whiney and is still competant without needing plot-convience to "save" Batman all the time (Batgirl, I am looking at you and "Brawn"). This episode also had some "super" guest stars; while Allison Mack from SMALLVILLE basically got little more than a cameo as Clea, Brandon Routh, of SUPERMAN RETURNS fame, got co-starring billing as the show's new original creation, Everywhere Man.

Well, EM wasn't totally original; he was essentially the same as Billy Numerious from TEEN TITANS, albeit he wasn't annoying and had a better design, and episode. Plus, of course, the "multiples" schtick was made famous by Marvel's Multiple Man. But the episode had some good animation, a decent mystery and a slight twist.

Wayne shows up at a gallery event with Clea and another high society figure, John Marlowe. However, when a masked thief makes off with one of the paints, both Batman AND Marlowe give chase; however, the crook is somehow able to vanish from a closet, and it turns out the painting is still there. Batman & Robin attempt to prevent another theft, but this time the robber seems to have a partner, and manages to ellude them again. Doing some "civilian" detective work, they manage to spot high levels of radiation ariound the closet as well as some of those seemingly "returned" paintings. Plus, a hair sample found at the scene seems to implicate Marlowe himself; duh. He's the only new character and suddenly a new villian shows up.

Upon arriving at his lab (and splitting up), Batman quickly finds out that his enemy is Everywhere Man, who can duplicate himself at will. Elsewhere, Robin happens upon some dopples claiming to want to guard a "prisoner", who he assumes is Batman, but happens to be a bearded John Marlowe; the real one. Elsewhere, Batman exposes the other Marlowe as a dopple; the first one and one that hung around enough to become very smart, even better than the original. Being a "collector", he steals art and creates duplicates to fool the police, and naturally didn't seek to kill Batman until it was too late. However, Batman quickly finds himself over his head battling dozens of Everywhere Men.

Luckily, Robin and the original Marlowe pull a NARUTO, having Robin create a few dopples of himself with a prototype machine, however, the machine fizzles out and soon the dopples go down with a single punch. Then, Batman pulls a simular trick that Beast Boy pulled on Trident in TT: turning the dopples against each other. However, he does it not by questioning who is "real", but that they will all cease to exist the moment they're no longer useful, so they start fighting between tackling & defending the lead Everywhere Man. The real Marlowe disables his device and defeats him.

Not the best episode, but a thrilling good time with a decent mystery and some good action. Routh also does a bang-up job for his role.

It was a decent episode, but I was really impressed by Routh's work- pretty neat. Plus you guys are right, John Marlo does resemble Routh- just make the hair black.

Good episode. Everywhere Man came out to be an awesome villain, which makes it sad that he can't come back. It's not like one of the clones managed to survive the final battle. It would be impossible to survive that.

The twist didn't surprise me. As soon as I saw John Marlowe being covered in red in the radar, I knew he was a clone. Still, it was an original route, and I liked that.

I also liked the relationship played here. John Marlowe was the geeky, shy scientist that means well, but isn't brave or daring. Everywhere Man was stronger, more powerful and more brave, but he was a villain. And at the end of the day, Marlowe got to hook it up with Clea, so Chloe finally got Clark.

Brandon Routh actually seemed to have fun playing his role, instead of simply "reading". Is Mitch Pileggi busy? Gordon was barely mentioned twice in the season, and when I saw him, he didn't speak.

4.5/5

NEXT WEEK: Black Mask breaks out of Arkham, and punches Batgirl off a helicopter.

When i first read the synopsis for this episode, i thought it was about a character that could shift slightly into the future and hence have an advantage over bats in combat since he would already know what he was going to do before it happened.

However i was somewhat mistaken.

I liked how the Clones had individuality and became somewhat darker than the originals. I also had no idea that the original was being locked up somewhere. if that was the case though, i would have preferred it if the original was a vital necessity in order for the clones to survive (so each clone needed it's relevant creator in order to survive and someone at the top of a change could recall all his clones and all the clones they also had made etc...)

A great twist would have been if Clone number one had actually been locked up by clone number two and the original marlo was still being held against his will.

i also loved how it was robin that managed to do the experimental cloning in order to help batman, he really did shine in this ep performing side-kick duties, it's quite clear unlike batgirl that he can handle himself in a confrontation. Saying this though, I'm used to the frequent exposure of the older villains and it seems that robin is somewhat getting an easy induction, far easier than batgirls relative to the people he's been up against (team penguin was more of a group effort than anything else).

i'm really getting geared up for the season finale and also the future episode...

yum yum

This episode was great! Who wrote this? This has easily become my other favorite eppy, next to "Riddled". This really seemed like something out of B:TAS, and I loved it. The mystery and twists were surprising, and Robin is really proving to be much more helpful than Batgirl ever was. Now all we need is more Gordon and we're good to go.

They need to make every episode like this one. The Everywhere Man was a nice new villain, kinda like the old corny villains from the Golden Age.

8/10

the thing about putting gordan in is that they really need to put batgirl in as well, i don't see how they could do one without the other effectively.

unless of course she was out of the country or away on some matter...

now that I think about it he sounded very much like Justin Hartley in Smallville and vice versa with Hartley sounding like Routh lol

this episode was kinda boring, through out the whole thing i was wating for it to end. how many times have we seen the whole carbon copy duplicate thing already. since i watch NARUTO alot, it gets tiresome.

but the twist towards the end, i didn't suspect, i didn't see it coming at all.

I liked this episode, Robin was pretty cool and i liked the twist ending.

Greg Weisman, of Gargoyles fame, wrote this. He also wrote most of the Clayface I eps, the episode in Joker's mind, and the infamous Mr. Freeze ep. He will also write the DKR episode.

I wanted to let everyone know that I watched this episode a second time and I have revised my review.

I really liked this episode. I especially liked Bats manipulation of the Everywhere Men.

Also is it just me or did Routh speak more in this episode than in Superman Returns?

what is it?

I really liked as everyone already said that we saw a lot more of The detective side of BATMAN in this episode.

Just watched it, good eppy.

lol yeah thought the same thing.

After seeing this show though I still believe The Batman could kick Batman:TAS ass any day of the week in a fight. If only The Batman was willing to brake peoples bones like B:TAS he would be a total badass.

nah, Conroy would still own Romano ass in a fight, as for the series in general It's come a long way from the Bull**** it was in Season 1. Saeason 2 it improved, season 3 it got better [exsept with the introdction of an annoying batgirl in the series.] This season kick ass with The Dynamic Duo .
