New The Batman stuff as of 12/15/06

Warner Bros. Animation has provided The Continuum a first image of Nightwing and Batman from an upcoming episode of Kids' WB!'s The Batman.

Jerry O'Connell is providing the voice of Nightwing in the upcoming "Artifacts." The episode isn't scheduled yet, but will likely be the next new one broadcast.

Here's how "Artifacts" is described:

"One thousand years into the future Gotham City is terrorized by a dangerous villain from its past. Can the city defend itself from such a threat without the Batman?"

According to IMDB.com, the episode also features Smallville's Allison Mack, who reprises her role of Clea. (Look for an interview with Mack soon here in The Continuum).

Warner Bros. Animation also confirmed the following guest-voices for The Batman:

* Brooke Shields as Julie, the Riddler's girlfriend in "Riddler's Revenge."

* Louis Gossett Jr. as Lucius Fox.

* Dorian Harewood as Martian Manhunter in the two-part "The Joining."

I don't like when batman is drawn too wide and over bulky....that art is not doing it for me.....I was given that comic for my birthday years ago...that had that same batman look.....

Since it was a frame from the actual episode, the line detail tends to decrease. It happens to all shows.

With that set aside, I wonder when will Lucius appear. And what role will Clea play in the Artifacts ep?

This design for Nightwing actually looks superior to the one in TEEN TITANS and perhaps even the one in B:TNGA. It looks the closest to his successful redesign from the 90's launch of his ongoing, without the ponytail or mullet. An episode based in the future may be difficult to pull off as time travel is rather ropey, but we'll see what happens.

My favourite nightwing design has been the teen titans one...

just purely because it fitted in with the evolution of his robin costume and obviously it took factors from batman's costume and also slade's as motivation for the final design...

I also liked his hair in it as well as the broody voice acting...

THE NIGHTWING looks alright but sounded laid back in that season five pre-view we got.

still, i am in no doubt that this episode is going to rock big time just like the rest of the season has and ultimately will.

it's a clip of them in the future, most likely taking on mr freeze for what would apparently seem to be their last encounter with him before he then comes back way way waaaaay into the future.

so it looks like someone goes snooping around the batcave to see how the batman and nightwing dealt with him back in the day
