The Batman: Arkham Asylum Thread (Merged)

Im pretty upset that i dont get to play Crime Alley, it looks really awesome and I hear is the best part of the whole CE.
Dem Bones is pretty fantastic...
and being that I only own a 360, my heart is in pieces that i cant play as Mr.J!!!
I curse the day I sold my PS3....this is the first time since that ive actually regretted the decision.

Hows the Joker map? is is just a single-room challenge map or more like a mini-game/mission type thing?

play as joker means you play any of batman's challenge maps besides dem bones or crime alley but as joker with different challenges. and since you dont have the grapple, and joker's detective mode only works while stationary the stealth maps are much harder.

Thats still pretty awesome. I would love to play the fight maps then, the stealth ones would be cool for toyin around with some free space.
im still missin out im sure

Gosh darn it. I can't get this game until September 15th (PC release date). At first I thought everyone was just lying through their teeth about already having a copy until I realized that it released last week on consoles. I have one question though: how many hours is a single play through?

As much as I am eagerly awaiting this game, it will disappoint me if the game is less than 10 hours long. Then again, I would be paying $10 less than console gamers are, so it can't be that bad.

As for whoever said that the prison system doesn't work as a setting, just try the demo. You do get to glide down, beat some thugs up and repel (well grapple actually) back up to the top. You don't spend all your time inside the prison though. You do battle outdoors on the island as well. It is the best super hero game ever developed. For once, you truly feel like you are the character. Which says loads, because Spider-Man 2 did an amazing job of making you feel like Spidey. Some how, Arkham Asylum manages to outpace it.

so keen to play this game!!!
AAARRGGGHHHH!!!!!
