Yeah, hopefully they reprint like *everything* for completists. It'd be cool, and I for one would buy them...

The 50s sci-fi stuff is hilariously silly.

THAT's why it needs reprinting.

If you can't laugh at Batman, you're not much of a Batfan, I always say.

My words

But a few kids think they are too kewl and mature and want teh violent stuff.

I love a bit of the old ultra-violence...

What am I talking about?! I would jump at the chance to read nonsense like this...

Giant super apes, Batman and Robin battling evil scientists, the Bat-Mite?

How can anyone resist?

More importantly, Batman transformed into a rainbow and battling and meeting bizarre alien creatures!

I got this awhile back, having never read things like Hugo strange and such other stories it was really awesome to finally see them.

Plus the Jokers first appearence was freaking amazing.

Volume 1 is excellent pulp action....I miss that simplistic, dark, moody, shadowy batman.

I waited until Batman Chronicles Vol. 3 to begin finally picking up the series. Basically due to already having purchased the Batman Archives Vol. 1 and The Dark Knight archives Vol. 1 years ago. But it's good to see these comics being reprinted at a price that's not quite as bad as the Archives were.

Yeah, it's good, gives a chance for collectors and completists to own the history without resorting to unreasonable eBay prices!

The earliest Batman stories are wonderful. Really atmospheric, mysterious and adventurous. There is a straight-forwardness to these stories that makes them really enjoyable. It's this sinister yet heroic Batman that will always be my favourite version of the character. The influences of Sherlock Holmes and Dracula are really evident here.

Lot's of Da Vinci in there as well, wasn't his flying machine drawings the basis of Bob Kane's drawings?

Oh God no, I hope they reprint everything. I don't care how crappy it is, I'm a completionist. The idea of reading every single Superman and Batman story ever published is enough to make me incontinent with excitement. And where have I heard your name?

Your girlfriend moans it in her sleep.

(j/k) :cwink:

I have Vol.1, gotta' get the others. 2 and 3. I love reading the old books and seeing him evolve through the first few stories. And it's cool to read the first appearance of The Joker.:brucebat:

i picked this up today (along with KF2: Who rules the night) and its a pretty nifty book, ill get round to ordering the rest of them sooner or later, is it up to volume 5 now?

No idea, hopefully it'll just keep going and they'll print all of the comics, although it might get a bit muddled when they hot the recent books and cross the different titles...
