I'm sorry, I think your notion is absurd.

That whenever I come to "The Batman" board, I usually see jabs at Nolan Batman, and not jabs at other versions of Batman?

OK.

*Insert "Batman Forever thumbs up gif" here*

Yeah, I don't see BvS being praised and Nolan being constantly bashed anywhere on this entire site. I still find your original post to be absurd. Sorry.

There's often jabs to Joel Schumacher's films. As a Kilmer Batman fan..it hurts! There's been shots to Nolan's trilogy though by quite a few including me though

Every film version has pros and cons

So roads were closed for the weekend, but was anything filmed there? Or maybe it was only 2nd unit additional shooting. Wide shots, something like that.

For sure. Like The Crow's Detroit
That's a bit too much for a grounded take. I personally don't think that Gotham needs to be permanently in the state of pure misery with rain/fog/snow or whatever. Being just run down is enough. Various weather effects can add drama or suspense, but I don't think it needs to be like in Blade Runner movies, where climate and ecology went to **** so stuff is constantly falling from the sky.

On the second thought, depending on how much time passes during the course of the movie. Maybe it can be like the first Max Payne. One long incredibly cold night with the worst blizzard in history of New York.

Yeah true. The Crow always reminds me of Batman and Gotham but I know it may be too stylized

People bring up Se7en often as a possible stylized influence but I don't remember that film being anything special with the city. Haven't seen it in years though and so I need a rewatch

Se7en didn't try to highlight the city, though. The goal was to make it look unspecific. Constant raining played more important role. It blended background, pushed forward the characters. Created feeling of misery, coldness, indifference.

When it comes to Seven, I think people are talking about the atmosphere than the city itself. Seven's city is meant to be anywhere, which is why it has a very confined, claustrophobic aesthetic.

If Se7en is a big visual influence it could very well be raining all the time.

If there's finally ever a Batman Beyond film, I hope Blade Runner or Repo!: Generic Opera are looked at as inspirations

Batman has to control whatever electronics he uses. From communication to his gadgets and vehicles. So it only makes sense he would wear something like that.

Looks like this is it for now. Until the next set discovery...

Pretty much. I haven't quite figured out where they will draw the line between the makeshift aspect of his suit and a more tech based approach.
Sure, but as far as the watch goes, it may just be for the stunt driver to time his runs. All that stuff has to be coordinated.

But sure, it could be apart of the actual Batsuit. Who knows?
