The Batsuit Master Thread

Other than the design of the legs I think the neck is one of the weakest points of TDK suit. I bet anyone could easily snap or break Batman's neck with that thin neck guard. It almost looks as thin as the neck piece of a typical turtleneck shirt. Not only that but it makes Batman's neck look so skinny compared to his thick helmet. I'm sure the costume designers could've made thicker neck piece that also allows mobility.

Would it be easier to move if the cowl was made of prosthetics? And there's always leather, like in Dead End and City of Scars.

probably, but it wouldnt be as strong or protective. I think functionality here is a double edged sword. With a movable neck you can indeed turn your head, but at the same time if you have a strong one immobilized piece you wont break/twist your neck

The character I think, if I understood correctly. Prostetics arent of such hard material, if latex or foam was what you meant

Yep, this is the one that I did:

Bunk did one as well that was also really good. I don't have that one though.
Very cool. Like someone said I'de love to see a full costume version of this.

Not a problem. It'll only take one line of dialogue or one a quick action scene to drive the point home that this new cowl is just as durable as all of the others.

Prosthtics would be interesting. It would really add a creaturely vibe to it. But you'd have to make some mumbo jumbo that ot is simultaneously so well fittes that it's a second skin and protective.

That shouldn't be a problem for writers who know what they're doing. Writers for these films make crap up all the time. :p

Jeeze that looks perfect! Except the cowl has way too many designs. I really hope the next Batsuit will end up looking like this.

Do you guys and/or girls think DC/WB should use the new DCnU/New 52 Batsuit in the upcoming reboot?

That or the 'Batman Incorporated' suit would be absolutely fine.

Nah. I like my Batsuits streamlined. That's way too busy.

I'd like that. But if they're going to use it, they need to streamline it a bit, and maybe add in some stuff to keep it from looking too plain.

That or the 'Batman Incorporated' suit would be absolutely fine.

My only issue with it is it might look too plain in live action.

Yellow oval or no yellow oval in the reboot?

Doesn't matter to me. :yay:

Oval, please. I love both looks, and I like alternating them to keep things fresh (though, if I could have only one, it would be the black bat).

We will have had five films with the black bat by the time TDKR comes out.

Bring back the oval, but make it dark copper or bronze.

Copper would work, kindof a throwback to the Batman 89 poster.

With a matching utility belt. :awesome:

I actually wouldn't mind a black belt - especially if they go with the black-and-gray trunkless look. A yellow belt without the trunks just looks weird to me.

Black belt would only look good with a gray suit. Ugh, I hated it on the Schumacher suits because it didn't stand out.

What shade of grey should they use for a movie suit?
